Give the hemp and tares a go on the Avon for some mega roach catches. I used to catch 3 or 4 fish on maggots, corn and casters, switch to hemp and a few tares and its 40lb bags of roach.

@@AdamsFishingAdventures yes mate park at Gunthorpe lock and walk down stream. Try and get close to the weir as you can. It’s a popular stretch,Penton’s field NG14 7FB for your satnav. Unicorn hotel is just up stream if you fancy a pint and something to eat or a stop over.
