Apart from his jokes 1 of the main things I like about Akash is the way he keeps changing the distance of the mic from his mouth which really taught me how tempo and loudness of bits can be used to create tension among the audience
@@KuchBhiMehta "Dear Homeopathy" ends with "Mujhe serious topics pe baat hi nahi karni chahiye, mujhe basic cheezo ki baat karni chahiye. Jaise Susu, ya mumbai ki baarish" you then released the video on Mumbai rains and maybe 2 years later you released the video: Susu
I thought Akash was just one wierd, smart, strange guy who fucks up the jokes and we laugh at him. I thought we are laughing at him. But the fact is he is making us laughing at him. As he said, in the end, you gotta make people laugh. Huge respact!! ❤️❤️❤️
I have revisited journey of joke series over and over again over the 3 years and I somehow get intrigued by something new every time what a gem series!!!!
Man! Been following him since so long and never knew he was son of such a legendary woman! His mom Deena Mehta is known as the first lady of finance, mad respect for both him and his mother.
This is such an insightful show, Abish! There's always something new to learn from the thinking process of these wonderful comedians who come on Journey of a joke. Akash's standup videos always seemed so impromptu. Never imagined it took so much preparation in making it seem like one. Especially loved the nuances like the sounds and the rhythm he gives to his jokes. Thank you for initiating such discussions, Abish.
After seeing this my respect for comedians increased. It's very hard to make people laugh. I always respected people who can make other people laugh because i am a sad person and I know the value of laughter.
Man this guy Akash is so intelligent. Loved this episode more than any other 'Journey of A Joke' episodes. Such good breakdown and amazing clarity of thought process behind all premises and observations.
I love the journey of a joke... It shows us how much they work on a joke... We usually think it's so easy... So much work out goes on, man... Hats off to ask comedians. Thanks Abhish to showing us the hard work...
Honestly I have been planning to try stand up atleast as an hobby and Akash Mehta has been my idol and geeting to know how he writes his set is priceless for me Thanks a lot Abhish and best of luck Akash and Abhish for the future❤ -M Taneesh
This makes me excited for the next installment of the MCU, ie the Me(h)ta Comedic Universe. Considering that Akash tries these jokes with the live audience, they are basically the comic readers that know bits and pieces of his different bits. And then us, the UA-cam audience, are basically like the moviegoers who get their mind blown never anticipating that everything was connected and planned since the beginning.
The part from 31:49 to 33:08 is why I love watching journey of a joke, stories sometimes funny sometimes emotional or inspirational behind those few lines in the set of a stand-up 😊
I always believed that comedy is just like any other art where mostly it's natural and spontaneous and it's tough to actually learn that skill if you lack that vision to find humour in everything. But watching this... Series burst the bubble...
I feel this is the best episode of the Journey of a Joke. This one just has physical + written + improv all elements. Also as Aakash says, comedians are magicians. Magic trick ka raaz bataneko fatti hai. But he just told about his craft with such amazing spirit. Loved it Mahn! Cheers. Suggestion: Bring Aadar Malik for Musical Comedy 🙃
always used to love geeking out with Journey of a Joke, the way Abish breaks all the bits down & now this episode you & @kuchbhimehta just took it too a new high! 😍😎 take a bow you guys🙌🏻
I think you guys should do a podcast where you review other stand up bits by other comics.. just loved how you interpret and understand the joke and explain it do well.. hats off! 👏🏻👏🏻
Been waiting for this episode to come out since you all had the stellar discussion on the AMF podcast. Was a little sad when Abish said it might come out at the end of the year, seems like the pandemic changed the release schedule (probably the only good thing to come out of all of this). Really appreciate everything you both are doing. More power to you @Aakash and @Abish!!
I think Abish struggles with relatability a bit. For example, Aakash says "sadi ke neeche Nike ka joota", but Abish says "sadi ke neeche sneakers". There's a big difference between the two. Firstly, the word "sneaker" is not used by a majority of Indians. And even more so when you are talking about a video for your parents' generation - if your parents use the word "sneaker", it is probably because you influenced them.
Apart from his jokes 1 of the main things I like about Akash is the way he keeps changing the distance of the mic from his mouth which really taught me how tempo and loudness of bits can be used to create tension among the audience
3:34 Lol I can see Tanmay Bhat simultaneously getting offended and excited for content😂😂
(No hate love both of your work)
fan of both... waiting for the day when i get to see them together
I doubt they will....Akash dosent get along with most comedians
came here just for aakash`s weird laugh
Same!

That line was so good "Comedians are magicians of thought".
CHINTU IS OFFENDED😂😂🤣
Moments where Aakash cuts to Abish's Camera at the end just to address his mom and his prepping her about the video are pure gold 😍
Its so good to see people talking face to face again rather than on a video call
This was shot a while back sorry to burst the bubble we have to live in😢
Damn even the "ugggghhh" has a meaning and a reason why it is placed at that specific point

Yeah, true. All best buddy. Hope you get viral soon.

24:21 that line went so deep I didn't understand that at first, a great video he should bring akash again for his new videos like Nasty.
The depth in content is amazing! Aakash seriously has the brains to go impromptu on stage and kill it! Best episode of JoaJ till date!

I just like to discuss art and that's why I am here
Thank you Abish!!!
I love how abish breaks down each line of the joke so you just don't get to know the joke but the story behind it.
It's so beautiful to see they are well learned . They are not just funny are really really awesome.
😍😍
Aakaash is super conscious. All the time. 🤯🤯
Hence great flow.
Tinder, Homeopaths and Ranbir Scam are way too good about the flow.
This is so good seeing this two guys so enthusiastic about jokes

thank you abhish. this all portrays how a stand up act is written and presented which is not at all easy.

No art is natural and spontaneous . Everybody works their ass off to make great act. :)
This is one of the best episodes of Journey. It shows the art behind comedy so well. I have so much more appreciation for the art form now.
