@@cjxplusone he means suspension suspension articulation/downward travel. It lifts wheels over even the smallest obstacles. Look up vehicles like the Wrangler and Bronco rock crawling and you'll see how the suspension flexes to keep the wheels in contact with the ground vs lifting wheels.
Thank you for the video Andre. I must say though that most large SUVs now look like very heavy and fragile large pieces of glass now. What happened to the market where one must buy a 4500+++ pound vehicle that is the size of 1980's garages? If one cant see across their hood without standing on their tiptoes, one knows things are way out of hand now.
I would be ecstatic if TFL got their hands on a Wagoneer Series II with the Convenience Group, Advanced All Terrain Group & the Heavy Duty Trailer Tow Package. This is the most off road spec Wagoneer you can get and those combination of options are only available in the base Wagoneer Series II. I have a family of 7. My disabled mom lives with us as well so if we are all in a vehicle then we have 8. This vehicle would work. We would also take it off road so I would configure it this way. Not rock crawling of course but on remote roads to camp sites. The Mojave road, mountain passes, etc.

It looks just like a Tahoe. Couldn’t be less impressed with the design language. I feel like Jeep gave up trying to compete and just hired GM designers. Come on!
Interesting note on the 4wd low auto mode. It partly supports my theory that the Borg-Warner transfer case they use here and in other similar products doesn't actually have a low-range locking dog clutch and that the wet clutches handle all the load. I know Ford wanted the same thing from Borg-Warner in the Raptor (4auto) but insisted on also having a locking collar for 4hi and 4lo, which the TRX didn't get.
Would you happen to know of the regular f150s have the locking collar with 4 auto. I know on the rams you get the borg warner 44-44 which in 4 hi is just more aggressive 4 auto.
I had a '81 AMC Wagoneer limited with 5.9L and loved that thing. Had 450k miles on it when i got rid of it. These don't deserve the Wagoneer /Grand Wagoneer names.... Such a let down...

The commander actually has suspension travel and articulation. This is just like the new defender, like taking a skateboard with offroad tires offroad.
Starting at 2:30, the Wagoneer's tires were in the air for a total of 10 seconds. If I wanted tires in the air, I'd take my Prius on that trail and leave my Rubicon at home... But, I don't because the Prius is the wrong vehicle to take offroad, and so is the Wagoneer.
Good video my only real issue with the new Jeep Wagoneer is the price. It cost more then most of its competitors. Just seems a little high for something that's all new and is not a proven vehicle. Like the Escalade or Navigator or Mercedes and Range Rover.

I love my 22 Wagoneer Series II, and I love off-roading, but I have to be honest: with an $85,000 + sticker price I doubt I will even drive it when it snows.
Cool!! but the new grand cherokee L and wagoneer look so dam similiar, can you do a comparison on the two models especially from the outside, to me the only quick difference i can kinda tell is the grand cherokee has a more sloped hatch.
A better and more realistic review would be dropping kids off and picking them up from school, and then taking them to soccer, hockey, football practice with equipment.

Wagoneer is much larger and has a full frame. Durango is based on the grand cherokee platform and is a unibody vehicle. My r/t has a low range but it is not off road based.

Looks ok, give Jeep a year to work out the bugs. With a Hemi V8 4Xe would be interesting. Given the success of the Ford F-150 Hybrid, I assume Ford will be quick to offer an Expedition Hybrid (with onboard 7.2kW power) perhaps as a PHEV. Maybe that's a Lincoln Navigator PHEV … but they better add the 7.2kW generator in the F-150 Prius … that's the game changer people are buying.
Does it still have to old worthless lane keep assist that bounces you side to side like the grand Cherokee L? Honestly for such a high priced vehicle they can’t keep up with a base Hyundai and keep you centered in a lane

The Cherokee, grand Cherokee, and gladiator rubi have all been given trail hell in my hands none have needed any repairs and still run like brand new after plowing through everything, I think they are a solid car manufacturer now, and if you wanna tell me ur opinion I’ll link you a fun video
Well you might be lucky. I work on a buddy’s wrangler more than I’d care to. Thing is always throwing CEL’s for this and that failing part or sensor. It’s a 2016 JK rubi and now his torque converter is already failing. Looked into it and it’s super common unfortunately and big repair for me to do. I just feel bad for him.

Is it just me or do these vehicles perform better on these manufacturer demo courses and never really works this good when TFL takes it on their off-road trails or puts it on the rollers?
The courses are designed and groomed to make the vehicle look good and show off its feat. There is 0 chance the vehicle can’t make it through the course. The real world is never like this. In real off road use there are very few stock vehicles I would try to take off road. This isn’t one of them. I’m sure it’s a nice vehicle as a daily driver that can handle sloppy dirt roads and winter weather. Towing and hauling. That’s the real purpose of these trucks.
I want to like this, but I just can't get over the styling. From the side, this looks like a child's drawing of an SUV. Interior looks beautiful, but for the money I probably rather have a Yukon AT4 or Z71 Tahoe with the 6.2L.
