// ABOUT ME
Hi, I'm Mithea! As a first-generation law student from an immigrant family, I had many questions on my journey to becoming a lawyer in Canada. Now, I’m here to make law less mysterious and more accessible, so you can confidently pursue it too!
Love how genuine you are
you're too kind! thanks for making my day ❤️
Loved this video! I can definitely relate to WFH boundaries, it is tough. Excited to see an in-person version :D
thanks Nanci! didn't realize how important boundaries are until that WFH life 😅
Very cool to see your daily routine, looking forward to see the in-person routine! Great stuff :)

Helo mam in Canada which sector is best to do an llm
Ma'am could you please give a rough idea on how much does a 1st year called to the bar in Canada ( foreign trained lawyer) expect as a salary?
Ik it's quite subjective but still a rough range as in 1. Below 40k $ a year or 2. 40k to 60k a year 3. Or above 60k$ a year.
You must've come across some foreign trained lawyers, anything regarding the pay as in how low it could get or what would be a very general idea..
Anything you say would help
Hi there! Salary depends on many considerations (e.g. size of the firm/business, year of call/experience). Here is a data spreadsheet of income ranges for lawyers practicing in Ontario docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1uqhhz4gYJw5YNT_o_p6uYGq7RYgTMeRiZJyINptTfxo/edit
Great video thank you for showing the day in the life of articling law student. I have just subscribed to your channel can you please help me I am pursuing Post Graduate Accounting Diploma from a college in British Columbia and I am in a dilemma of whether to pursue CPA or JD. Can you please make a video with a CPA and talk about the day to day work and skills required for these profession. Just one last question do you believe introverts can have options in law such as non litigation options. Thank you
Hi Dakshit! I highly recommend LinkedIn for networking and reaching out to CPAs for a coffee chat. They may be able to answer your specific questions. In terms of introverts in law, this was a question I had myself prior to applying to law school. The lawyers we see on tv seem more outgoing which made me wonder whether introverts can be successful in law. And they totally can! If litigation isn't for you, then there's solicitor type work like drafting and reviewing contracts. I hope this helps and good luck!
