    Key strategies for navigating the costs of school while still taking care of their family
    Creating a schedule and arranging childcare in a way that makes space for her school work
    The vital importance of a strong support system and asking for help when you need it

    Thank you so much for this. Especially thank you for having a woman who is a mother. It honestly is different for mothers versus fathers regarding schooling, especially difficult high level schooling and what is expected from women vs men as parents. I don’t have kids but by the time I’m in CRNA school I will be in my mid to lates 30s and kids could be a very real aspect of my life and it is something that has caused a lot of stress for me. Thank you again!

      You are not wrong about that Alexia; and it's good to start considering all these things now. Hopefully it won't always be that way ;) Thank you so much for tuning in!!!

    I really appreciate this video! It puts sooooo much into perspective! While I don’t have any kids, I am married. Applying for CRNA school has been on my mind for a while now but maintaining finances, if accepted, has been one of my biggest worries. I’d be interested to hear more information on financially prepping for CRNA school.

    I think it would be great to do an update with how things are going during clinicals and how she’s balancing school, kids, and clinical

      Thank you for the suggestion! I do have an update video with Amber (another SRNA with whom I did a "Being a Mom in CRNA School" video chat with)... here's the link if you want to check it out! ua-cam.com/video/v1LeIdqTYjA/v-deo.html

      @@CRNASchoolPrepAcademy I did watch that as well! I’ve watched all of your videos since discovering you, and it’s been extremely helpful and motivating. I just have 3 children that will be very similar ages to her own when I’m in school. And having 3 kids compared to 1 is a HUGE difference. I would be curious about how her kids handled her being in school and less available as well. It’s a huge fear of mine

      @@midnightcoalexpress I know a single mom of 3 in school right now- I am reaching out to her for some of our academy students to connect with her - I may even see if I can bring her on the podcast to see how she is managing her time in school with 3 kids and being a single parent- I know she has two Nannie’s helping

    What’s your advice for single moms inspiring to go to crna school?

    • @CRNASchoolPrepAcademy
      @CRNASchoolPrepAcademy  2 роки тому +2

      I recommend to line up a plan of action to help with the kids. I have had a few students who went back as single parents and had no family near by to help so they got a nanny who helped around the house, groceries, cleaned and with kids. But I would suggest trying to find friends and family to help with childcare and chores ❤️ you can do it with the right game plan 🥳🎓
