This show was performed at different parts of latin and central america during the course of 1997. The band was partin' ways and the tour was known as 'the last concert' because they really were their latest. But this particularly track belong to its third album called "Signs" ( Signos). Comercially available in 1986.
Hi Rob Gustavo Cerati (Clark) ‘ solo career boosted during and mainly after SodaStereo. Cerati was a sound expert, and a tireless excellence seeker. Great reactions. Keep safe. H
The Main frontman Gustavo Cerati's Grand father came from a little Town close to Cuomo, Italy. His mother's surname is Clerk and her ancestors came from Ireland. The bass players family also came from Prevalle, Brescia, Italy. His surname' s (Carlos AKA "Zeta")Bosio. He used to travel with his family to see some of their relatives who still lives there. If i'm not that mistaken his Grand father also came from Italy. The drummer's surname is (Carlos AKA Charly) Alberti. I don't know so much about his ancestors but it seems like a part of the family came from Italy as well
Charly Alberti es nombre artístico, que lo toma de su padre ( baterista de una banda típica de jazz) su nombre Carlos Alberto Ficicchia , para todos Charly Alberti ❤
Thanks, Robk! Gustavo released two albums before leaving Soda Stereo: Colores Santos (together with Daniel Melero in 1992), and Amor Amarillo (his first solo album, in 1993). The performance you just reacted to was Soda's last concert in 1997. And though he recorded those two albums I just mentioned, we could say that Gustavo's solo career began from that moment.
If You wanna know more about Soda Stereo an what they were up to at the 1990's I ' ve got a couple of suggestions. Along with the album Sueño Stereo in 1995. Dynamo released in 1992 was very much influenced by the very favourite artists of Mr. Cerati, Charly Alberti and Zeta Bossio. But something else was there in additon. Do You remember those late 80's or early 90's bands like My Bloody Valentine, Primal Scream And Sonic Youth? This people were also fans of The Rolling Stones, The Beatles, Deep Purple, Zeppelin, Génesis, but in its time were also fans from some other emerging bands from the 80's the 90's and music you' d probably never ever heard before. They liked things like the one i've mentioned above. Again, were truly fans of BJORK, Radiohead, Beck and Massive Attack, etc. The following album Sueño Stereo was recorded in the mid 90's and they went right into the same british studios where BJORK and some other alternatives artists recorded or mastered those albums. That is how some tracks you could possible react on and most of the tracks from this two complete albums I've previously marked were so alternative. There's so many elements from 'shoegaze' music and sonic melodies there. It sounds fresh, like permanently looking for a new sound. What about lyrics? Well, they're kinda agy. Philosophical, espiritual at times. Freedom and liberation at some other or even meaningless at sometimes. And it was all put into the same oven an then you see the final product. This guys always have somethin' to break up for. More than just at whencebies. Cerati always said that Soda Stereo was one of those bands frecuently coming up with brand new ideas. They never wanted to be tagged or placed on one particular genre or musical style. I heard the same statements from many people, but not so many artists were able to accomplishhed those kinds of goals. With few exceptions, people like band members from The Cure, Duran Duran, Radiohead, Blur, Depeche Mode, Inxs, New Order not to mention people like David Bowie. Trash or metal bands. Many other local artists here in south America like Luis A. Spinetta or Charly García. Etc Etc. You hear bands and they always reproduce the same fórmula. It's more about 'reinventing' themselves rather than 'remaking' it. And that's what's is going on at music biz nowadays. People do remakes. What's more appealing for radios. It's shocking and appaling at the same time.
"Sueles Dejarme Solo" live, 2007. Believe me Robk..and then we'll talk about it...that's your song...your profile, they were a box of surprises... always, go there...react to it , peace out.
Hi Robk, Thanks for continuing to react to Soda, I want to see today on your Twitch the reaction to MTV Unplugged, but where in the world are you located to know what time I have to connect to Twitch, I am from Guatemala
Thanks friend Robk for keeping Gustavo alive. I keep getting sensitive with his excellent art. You don't need translation in your reactions, you can't translate the feelings that Soda Stereo music produces in you. Thank you friend!
React to "Sueles Dejarme Solo", "Hombre al Agua", "Final Caja Negra", "En Remolinos" for something heavier. "Imagines Retro" would also be a nice reaction. That guitar is the legendary PRS "multifoil" custom 24 (late 80s). It has since become famous because Cerati used it. Good luck finding an original under 20k USD.
I think you should listen to at least two songs from Gustavo’a first album post Soda Stereo which is Bocanada. The critics consider this one as one of the masterpieces from pop rock and obviously one of the best albums from Gustavo if I’m not wrong. It did revolutionize the music in Spanish in general with tecno and rock after all
This song in the 80s (1987) it's more powerful and strong version, here is most slowly... but nice too. Robk! the next time react to "FINAL CAJA NEGRA" (studio version) or "LA CIUDAD DE LA FURIA" (but the official video clip, not live)!! La Ciudad de la Furia: ua-cam.com/video/AVEDgT_lG60/v-deo.html Final Caja Negra: ua-cam.com/video/eDSI30SQbZA/v-deo.html "En el Borde": ua-cam.com/video/Z0ukDGXNYLU/v-deo.html Greetings from Argentina!
