Beauty I just purchased one but why does the dial stop at 64 when winding when the reserve is supposed to be 72 the next dot mark.

Because longines calculates precisely the price of every component of their watches to ensure a certain margin of profit in regard to the price tag of the watch. That's why there is always one flaw in longines watches.
The watch looks super nice, too bad the its priced very high compared to other watch in their lineup. I was considering this, but when I saw the price, I was like NOPE.
Probably my next timepiece will be the new Legend diver in 39mm or the Longines Bigeye avigation in black.
Also I was wondering why the hell do you make watches with 3 bar WR? WTF? You should at least put 100m WR, but if 100 is not possible, then at least minimum of 5 bar on all watches that have no screw down crown. Cmon Longines, its not that hard to put 50-100 WR
Because those are dress watches with a leather strap. They aren't supposed to go in the water. Hence why only 3 bar WR. Biggest flaw of some longines watches being no transparent case back. For example the longines flagship heritage and moonphase version don't have the transparent case back, which keeps me away from buying it.
@@lensoprezole5322 wanted to buy this watch, but the price was too high for me and I bougth the new Legend Diver 39mm in blue for 2500€, got a 10% discount. This watch is 3700€ retail price, with a 10% discount it will be 3300, so still a 800€ difference which can be saved to buy another watch.
What does that internal dial do?
Power reserve indicator
This is a power reserve indicator displayed on two rotating discs in the centre of the dial: a complication invented by Longines in the 1950s and used exclusively by the brand! In the shape of a baton widened at the top, the power reserve indicator shows the movement’s depletion level on the external coiling disc, graduated from ‘64’ to ‘0’. Rewinding can be done either by moving the wrist or turning the crown, causing the coiling disc to rotate. Have a great day.
