Yes! This is a new and improved version of an older video. Enjoy!
Edit: I said the wrong date. It's 1929, not 49. I think a few hundred more comments pointing out the mistake will definitely fix it!

I have to tell you that your narration has really changed in the last year. Your writing has become extremely interesting and poetic especially your closings. It makes all of these stories that much more captivating. Congratulations and here's hoping that your videos continue to grow in length because I think many of us prefer to listen to your take on things.

That’s the ship that carried my mom and her family when they left Italy for the USA in 1938. She told me stories about the crossing, how everyone except the kids were seasick. They were Jewish and the first Italian anti Jewish laws were passed only a few weeks after they left. My grandfather saw the signs and acted. They moved back to Italy after the war. Now I’m in the process of getting a place myself in Italy.

Very good w/excellent footage and details, but some corrections needed, as follows. At 4:19: "contract signed in 1949"?? Surely 1929. 7:25: NOT powered by "turbo gearboxes" but by steam turbines. 8:22: Rex had a counter stern, not a 'clipper stern' (there's no such thing, though there is a clipper bow). Opening music very heavy-handed, Otherwise very good w/excellent footage and details.
