i come to know that before plotting we have to triangulate the data.I have a doubt on triangulation.What is triangulation? whether it means to get intermediate data by triangulating the domain or anything else.

What if the data that we have is for variable such as stress or strain. They are defined on Gauss points. How we can add them to the plot?
