Should watch them playing this at the Grand Old Oprey. Also worth having a look at their "You Are My Sunshine"

Didn't know what to expect, and that was a real treat. Your channel is great for finding new artists. Well done of 5K so quickly, well deserved.

I've been a hard rock/metal guy since the early '70s. But I love the fact that this young lady has The Dead South, Sierra Ferrell and Larkin Poe. This is only my second video here but I'll definitely be coming back.

Loved your reaction to this fun track! Saw this for the first time a couple of years ago, love it! You should check out their covers of People Are Strange and House Of The Rising Sun.

There’s a live performance they did that was sponsored by a German radio station, it’s only about 6 songs, but they all play instruments on it. They are very good musicians and bring a different energy to the bluegrass genre influences in their music.

Really nice song. Catchy as Hell. Like your style with it. Hope this channel goes far for you. See you on the next. Peace and love from this old, longhaired Rocker Dude in the hills and mountains of Gatlinburg, Tennessee. Later, doll.

The 1st time I heard this I ended up listening a few times.
Lives in my head? To the point I'm singing
After I count down 3 rounds, I'm in the pub, I'm in good company
When you make up your own lyrics, you know it's in your head to stay

Try "Broken Cowboy" (Happy mag version) it really shows the musicianship of these guys, "Completely Sweetly" is one of their newer ones, "That Bastard Son" is also very good. Very nice reactions!

Now for something similar yet very different. "Dude, Metallica and The Dead South had a baby." This comment kinda sums up The Native Howl who call their music thrash grass. Check out their recent mv "Mercy" featuring Lzzy Hale, yes that Lzzy Hale of Halestorm.💥🔥🤘

Consider reacting to more of their original songs and not so much of the covers that people like to suggest for bands like this and Big Push, etc. It highlights the talent of the band as writers and not just glorified karaoke singers.

my third attempt at college was a community college program where I was working on 4 associates degrees at once: music theory, audio engineering, music business, and digital music composition. then I got pregnant and had to drop out before I could finish any of them lmao oh well
I learned enough to appreciate music on a whole new level 😊

@@flowersafterrainfall I'm sorry not to pry but what was the goal with those degrees? And coming from someone that also had to put music aside for kids. They are totally worth it.

my goal, when i decided i wanted the music education, was to be a manager for underground hip-hop artists in my area. I have very little natural talent when it comes to music. I'm intellectual about it, and i have developed skills over time, but I'm not a natural artist...oh well lol.
Most of my music experience growing up is classical music (my dad was a bit of a classical music nerd and i studied the classics during most of my childhood, including opera and ballet history. He was and still is a bit of a rock history nerd, so i have some basic knowledge on that too), but I fell in love with indie and underground music, especially local rap and hip-hop in Dallas, Texas, where I'm from. I even started learning how to make my own beats so I could work with young rappers I met and befriended at school on their hooks and freestyles and they could help me improve my beats. (over time I developed a modest talent for dubstep and similar styles of EDM music as well...not to brag or anything lol)
anyway, my goal was to help talented local artists who had no knowledge of how to promote their music or make money off it and protect it legally, and like, help them do that. Help them get fame or get paid, whichever they prioritized. I eventually wanted to start my own indie record label over time, to build on this dream.
in a way, my channel now, it kinda lets me live my dream, but in a completely different way. I get to discover talented music artists, I get to promote them, I get to learn more about music along the way, and share what little knowledge I have with others.

      @@flowersafterrainfall that's awesome!
I worked with a bunch of bands from blues to metal. As a guitar tech, light tech, sound tech and general roadie. I worked at a rap studio for a while in Milwaukee. (Where I'm from) To help produce guitar tracks. My dream dropped from Rock star to help educate and help the next musical generation.
But I'm glad you're doing what you're doing.
Save up those donations and start your label.
