The continuous feed seems like a way to get people to buy more string. On my "corded" trimmer (I want to get a cordless), I change the spool about once a year.

Yes but the good thing is you can use generic string of the correct size. I would agree you use more but it is not enough to matter in my opinion. Thanks for watching. Blessings to you.

I'm a big Ryobi fan but generally not a fan if the tool models t that come bundled. I bought this trimmer in the trimmer + blower combo and should have known better. I'm really not a fan of the single string head and didn't love the auto feed as it seemed to waste a lot of line. It also turned my hands numb after about 15min of use. I'm hoping I can return it for a higher end model.
