Just a little tip to anyone wanting to avoid the paint bleeding thru- after you put down your tape give the canvas a thin coat of your base color (in this case white) going over the tape. Any paint that might bleed thru the tape will already be the color you chose for base of your art work and make your lines nice and crisp. Beautiful work and so creative!
If you lay the tape, then use the white at the edge of the tape, then what bleeds is white, so it will match what’s under the tape. Then, paint the color and the lines will be perfect. The white painted at the edge of the tape keep the color from bleeding through.
I honestly had no idea that there was an artist inside me... I've watched all your videos and they inspired me to create so many beautiful pieces of art for my house.... my husband is gonna be so amazed when he gets home... I prayed to God to give it to me, so it is all thanks to God and you.... I am gonna try the starburst painting... I just ordered all the materials from amazon.. I just hope it turns out half as good as yours did! Both paintings were amazing, and both would fit my decor but the starburst will go so good in my room. I can't wait, thank you!
I have found all the supplies for the beautiful sunburst piece. I painted the canvas a few days ago. My glue is now drying. I'm super excited and nervous at the same time. Thank you Denise for being such a great inspiration ☺️
These are absolutely amazing and it’s so neat because I just found a few different size canvases at our dollar tree and bought a bunch for my girls to draw on for themselves but you have inspired me to totally take a few different sizes to make my own little wall art for a new look for the dining room and living room
I have been obsessed with this Z Gallerie print for a long time, and yours is the only tutorial that actually recreates the look perfectly! Thank you SO MUCH for sharing this!
They both came out great! I especially like the starburst one. I was trying to come up with a way to get even thinner, super straight lines like in the original and the only thing I could think of was using spaghetti lol Might be too short in some spots, but maybe they could be glued end to end? Or, maybe string? If anyone gives this a shot, I'd definitely like to know if you had success with it.
WOW! I love both of these! I would have fallen in love with the second painting too, but I would have had no idea where to start on duplicating it, but you did so well! You are definitely very talented!
Just discovered your channel. Love this. I love how you dont over explain. You get right to the point and you're very clear on how to do it. Thank you!
I love the modern look because I love how you do the Border the Starburst looks like it was more work than you did and they're both wonderful pics of wall art
The starburst is my fave. I am going to try it on a foam posterboard. Or I may glue two together and trim the sides so you can't tell it's foam board. I need a large piece to go over an entryway table. I already had all of supplies on hand! Thank you Denise! You inspire me with your great designs and ideas.
Wow, I truly thought the starburst had been made with string! I love the geometric one best, but I'm going to try all!! Thank you for sharing this with us.
WoWww Denise👌. Talking bout high end. They both are just pretty projects Denise. I want them both. You are so talented. Team both, I like both but not a decorative person, if that makes sense. I luv to watch you diy. Wishing & hoping one day I can do this.
Love the high end looks on the wall and the floor vases set the look off nicely. The abstract was very cool and artsy. Really was fascinated with the border treatment on that canvas, it added to the overall design. Loved your concept!
Tina never be afraid to try anything you love (and even things you don't). All successful people fail many times over before their successes. Good luck with all your endeavors.
It must have felt so satisfying to pull the tape off the canvas for the reveal! I like the sparing use of black to ground the painting. All those lines on the other one, phew! It turned out gorgeous. Inspired!
You probably dont care at all but does any of you know of a trick to get back into an Instagram account?? I somehow forgot the password. I love any assistance you can give me.
@Kristopher Gunnar Thanks for your reply. I found the site on google and Im trying it out now. Seems to take a while so I will reply here later with my results.
Both pieces are really stunning Ms. D!! I love them both!! I’m really digging the framed look on the first one...how u spaced out the blocks made it unique!!
By coincidence I stumbled upon your channel and I AM SO DAMN LUCKY to have. For so long I was looking for a painting that was classy and all the painting I found were too much for me. I didn't like all the pink and girlish looking. Your painting is definitely is the definitely on the high-end side. Thank you so much!!! And btw, you got a new subscriber.
The starburst is gorgeous! However, my favorite is the 1st one with geometric designs and I normally don't like geometric designs!!! LOL I also love the idea for framing it!
Okay that makes sense! Someone else was trying to explain that in another comment, but didn’t make it as clear as you did. Now it makes sense! I definitely want to try this, but I am one who has a ton of materials to make these projects and never get them made! 🤦🏽♀️ I’m going to have to be like Nike and just do it! 😂

I love your art and I am trying it out right now. It's not as perfect as you have done, but I am so glad to be part of this beautiful creation. I am thinking of going to different geometric patterns for the second one, once I get the star burst done. I would love to put the link of your UA-cam video on my personal FB page for arts and crafts. Hope it's ok. Thank you so much for sharing your inspiring ideas with us! Do you happen to recall how many bottles of the tacky glue that you used for the Starburst ? I have the same exact kind she is using but want to make sure I have enough. Lol. I want to do one in bluish/pewter with silver . The deco art Americana metallics in pewter is beautiful and I think it would look great for this !!! Thanks 😊😊😊
@@jro9365, I have used 8 oz tacky glue for 2 paintings on 18x24 size. You can get small one from dollar store if you want to use on single canvas. Now my next goal is to do it on bigger canvas with blue, silver white color

I'm not sure if I understand how this would work. can you make us a video? :)
Painting over the low tack tape with Water works well also.
I didn't understand.. Plz describe again in a simple manner
Can you explain
If you lay the tape, then use the white at the edge of the tape, then what bleeds is white, so it will match what’s under the tape. Then, paint the color and the lines will be perfect. The white painted at the edge of the tape keep the color from bleeding through.

if you [paint the canvas, apply the tape and paint it AGAIN it will seal in the tape and make perfect lines.
