Sometimes I'm conflicted, because I compliment a woman on social media. I'm not necessarily try to holler at her, but just compliment. Most of the time it's been great. There has been maybe one or two times at the most when has been taken for something else.
I appreciate you even sharing this. I personally think, it's how you compliment someone. I personally don't get offended if someone is just "trying to holler", but it's the way some men "express" themselves that becomes an "issue". If you know how to respectfully admire and compliment women, I don't think many will take offense to it or take it another way. Then again, anything can be misconstrued online, since it's not being verbally said.

Lots of men ain't shit, so are lots of women. Sometimes if you want to separate yourself from the crowd, you have separate YOURSELF from the crowd. When you do and become better, you attract better. ( I hope that didn't go over your heads....the real ones understand)

@kissedbyken First and foremost, you are a stunningly beautiful woman and thank you for sharing your experiences; a lot of guys need to hear this. You were right when you said that men are more visual but we’re also one-track minded. So if the first thing we see of someone elicits a physical response, most of us don’t have the filter to temper our inevitable and reactionary verbal response. Even a well-meaning guy can say something crass or inconsiderate because he was thinking with the wrong head. In other cases, if a guy looks at you and admires what he sees but feels he would never have a chance with you, making a remark can be his way of ‘leaving his mark” on you (so-to-speak) In other words, if you paid attention to him for a second regardless of the context, then he’s satisfied. We men are very imperfect and it will not change or get better in terms of the majority of us but some of us do know how to approach women respectfully and others can admire from a distance without it being creepy or inappropriate.
