Love your content. That’s great to see how you tackle a test project to try out something new. Hopefully one day I will have room for some equipment in the same vein as yours. Missing the size of Florida houses here in Provence! Hugs 🥰
This is the BEST video I have seen for installing the encoders! You did an excellent job of close-ups of the install and great explanation of where the encoders go. I have watched many before this video and could never see exactly where the encoders were being attached and it was impossible to tell which side of the frame they were being installed. Your explanation was right on! I will be checking out more of your videos. Keep up the great work!
I just found your channel (popped up on YT) when I was searching for info about the Sure Stitch Elite. I have a new cutie I still need to put together. I’m not new to sewing but just started quilting this summer. :) Excellent presentation! New subscriber!
I just purchased the Chariot carriage and upper handles as a nice upgrade to my original Cutie frame. I hit a snag with installing the upper encoder because the carriage is different. But your video walked me thru every step and I'm up and running again. Thank you for what you do for us!
Wow... just wow. You're some man, you have the patience of a saint because honestly it would have been a pile of scrap and I would have been in tears and in need of therapy if I put that together 😅 I get it now it's like a very upmarket embroidery hoop (I simplified it for my wee brain to understand) Thankyou again, youre very helpful and informative.
Hi Chris Great video. I just ordered the Cutie Breeze Frame. I haven't decided yet if I will order the sure stitch. I want to test out my machine without first. Your video is the first one I saw showing the back of the frame.
Thank You! Thank You! Thank You, I greatly appreciate you doing an in detail video of installing the sure stitch elite on a cutie frame. I have a learning disability and being able to see the process of installation makes it so much easier for me to accomplish the task. I did have to watch the video a few times but I got it!
Thank You so much! I am new to setting😍 this up and was very nervous. You make look very easy. I think I will watch this a few times before I start. Great job!!
Thank you for the very informative video! Love how you explain the stitch regulator set up. I was so confused before! Going to give my hand a try at it now!
Great timing! I got the cutie breeze, little rebel and the ct6 software. Got it all set up to the point of threading my machine. Wasn't sure where to start from there, but this looks like the place. I think it best for me to try the free motion and then the software. Thanks for doing this video!
THANK YOU! I have a Juki TL2010Q as well and have been looking at getting a Cutie frame. Thanks for including the installation of the stitch regulator as I was considering buying one of those as well! My only concern is the need to reposition the quilt so much. I have an issue with puckering when I FMQ on my Juki, so I'm basically only doing straight line walking foot quilting at this point. Considering the Cutie Queen, which looks like it has the "rolling, ratchet" type back rail similar to a longarm frame. Love your content!!!
Wow …this is the best demo video I have seen…I was wondering about how the Cutie Frame would work and if I could install it myself…looks like I could after watching your video!!!Thank you…Question….what size table did you use for the Cutie Frame?
This is the best video yet re: installing the sure stitch elite and using the breeze/ cutie frame. ( Grace needs to hire you for an ambassador)I’ve had mine for awhile now am always looking for tips. Maybe I missed this in the video but would you mind mentioning the settings on the elite that you used? I know you were in regulated mode but I’m never sure what the other settings should be, and when would manual be used? Any info on the settings would be greatly appreciated. And yes, I also enjoyed your interview on Steven Bland’s channel. Keep up your great videos!😊
Just saw you on with Steven and Walter showing your interview. Came over to you spot and I will be catching up on your videos. I have a Cutie frame with my Jazz 2 and just got the Sure Stitch regulator. I do better with show and tell videos. I'm going to get the courage now to install the regulator. I'll let you know how it goes. I'm having only positive thoughts or ,at least, a learning experience coming my way. lol
I recently got the q-zone frame to us with my Juki TL-2010q, which thread is working for you? My Juki is thread picky I just got another bobbin to go between cotton and polyester, Ive been having skipped stitches as well. I went to 90 needle, put on ruler foot, lowered it then relaxed the fabric, I had it pulled to tight for the Juki, 50 w cotton then go fast, no more skipped stitches. Fun stuff!!
Thank you so much, your video very clearly demonstrates how to hook up the sure stitch elite!!! Have you installed the channel locks? If so, can you do a video tutorial?
I don’t have the channel locks for the Cutie Breeze frame, but I do have them installed on my Continuum II frame, but I think it’s a little different configuration
Hands down, the best video! Thank you for taking the time to do this in such helpful detail. Question for you regarding the Juki…Did you change out your needle/throat plate? Just curious if the standard plate (that comes with the machine) works ok with this set up.
I have another question. Do you need to unplugged the regulator and turn the sewing machine off and on in any particular order each time you finish working? I unplugged my regulator and my sewing machine started stitching on its own
Oh, that’s strange. I think I turned my machine off first, but I don’t recall. I haven’t used this setup a lot as I have a longarm too, but I did a large quilt that that too big for my frame with this setup.
Hey there, this might be a silly question but is your stitch length on your Juki set to ‘0’ or 3.5 (or whatever stitch length you like) or it is like free motion and you set your stitch length to ‘0’ and depending on how fast you go determines the stitch length? I’m just trying to work out how close this is to free motion. Thank you so much!
Hi would you please tell me complete dimensions on the table as it looks very square . My table is about 5ft by 2.5ft. Would the small frame fit on it?
Here is the information from the Grace Company website: Works with any table or desk that is sturdy enough to hold 35 lbs plus the weight of your machine and large enough to support the base cutie frame dimensions: 27” d x 52” w
I see that you stand and sit at this frame. I'm short, but I have an adjustable desk that I don't think lowers enough for me to sit. What set up do you have that you can sit as well?
Im a newbie and enjoyed your video, but im a little confused. Early in the video you stated that you did not need the thread cutter cord, then later you pushed a button on the regulator and said the thread cutter works. Also, after selecting your machine, what buttons where you pushing on the regulator. You never showed how to use the regulator. Any other video help would be appreciated. Thank you
I didn’t need the thread cutter cord because my machine has it built into the same port for the foot pedal, so it’s all 1 cord (I wasn’t sure at first if it was going to still work or not) The regulator is really easy to use, you just set the stitches per inch then press the start button, the faster you move the faster it stitches. I don’t have any other videos yet, but the next time I use this machine I’ll be sure to cover that part.

You’re an awesome teacher!

Which frame did you end up getting?
This was very informative! Thank you!
Excellent video
Thank you so much for this amazing tutorial!

I have it on my cutting table, which is 30”x59”

I actually am an ambassador for The Grace Company now 🥰
Thank you. The video was very informative

You can do it! It really wasn’t as difficult as I thought it would be when I first got it

For this I was using 40wt Finesse Thread that actually came with the practice panel.
My JUKI TL-18QVP loved the Glide Thread!! 😊
Thank you so much, your video very clearly demonstrates how to hook up the sure stitch elite!!!

No, I didn’t change anything, just dropped the feed dogs.
I have another question. Do you need to unplugged the regulator and turn the sewing machine off and on in any particular order each time you finish working? I unplugged my regulator and my sewing machine started stitching on its own

Great explanation. Do you know if the sure stitch will work with the original cutie frame? Thanks
Yes! The sure stitch is compatible with the original cutie as well as many other Grace frames
@@rosecityoriginals Thank you. I appreciate your reply. You make it look so easy. Haven’t had much luck with mine. Hopefully this will help

With the stitch regulator, you set your stitch length and it will speed up/slow down the stitching depending on how fast you are moving the machine.
@ thanks for you reply!!! Much appreciated

I also have an adjustable desk that it was on. I’m pretty tall though.
What the largest size quilt this frame handle?
Since the Cutie Breeze is a hoop style frame, there really isn’t a limit on the quilt size.

Wish you had more close-ups and can you do a video using a laser stylus?
I don’t have the laser stylus to try it out, it if I get one I’ll for sure be making a video 🥰
