Great reminder and message. Even though am Christian, recently am realizing that we are missing the mark when we are less than what you described. So many Christians get comfortable/compromise

Touch no unclean thing, and I will receive you.” -2 Corinthians 6:17. hands are not the the only part of our bodies that touch the unclean things of this world. our thoughts, sight, speech and hearing can also touch unclean things of this world. i agree with what you said that we need to adhere to very high standards to be able to be obedient to this command of our LORD. A genuine Bible Teacher, simply teaches what the Word says, Chapter and Verse, in Context, and does not get into feelings, emotions, "I felt God told me so I need to tell you" and other subjective thoughts. Emotionalism, is no substitute for sound biblical doctrine being taught because when you teach the WORD you are humble and the Lord is glorified. When you get on UA-cam to tell people all about your self, your dreams, your visions, your own thoughts, your feelings.... YOU get all the glory.
I agree about the sanctity of God’s word direct. God shared with us the Bible so we could get to know him and become his, and we all come to know him in different ways. I know, too, that it is important to have faith in the power the Lord still has and the miracles he is working every day. God’s ability to be revealed in the love shared between communities and emotional testimonies had a large impact on me first learning who he was. If I understand correctly, you mean that Bible teachers, those who teach the Bible, should focus more on the word though. All of what we need to find God is of course right there in the Good Book and a teacher that teaches how to read it and interact with it yourself is certainly a good teacher! God has great power and speaks to us in a variety of ways. Jesus told his disciples to share what they saw and experienced with Jesus, not just share his existing word. A real disciple in my experience does just that. God bless you, I’m not intending to argue.
@@clarissaturner8378 We are told by the WORD that Satan can show up looking like an angel of light, and that he is the master of deception and the father of lies, an enemy of God and a monster of pure evil that wants to steal, kill and destroy, and sift us Christians like wheat. We are told by Jesus many times to beware of FALSE TEACHERS and anyone who is teaching something that simply is not biblical, we are to beware and call it out. Yes, of course you share your testimony with people, and speak to them from your soul, but when you want to teach biblical ideas, you open the Word, you show the chapter/verse and share the whole context with that soul, because a good Christian Minister of God's Word wants the Bible to be studied and the person made into a disciple. Just like going to school for medicine or law, a real education comes from learning Scripture, and having the GLORY for the ideas learned, go to the Lord. You are right. A real disciple uses their own testimony, experience, heart and personality, but they teach biblical truth USING the opened Bible.... That's how you avoid error and the devil's trickery. Would you fly to Maui with a liberal in the cockpit? No, we want those flying planes to be by the BOOK and we should want Christians to be exactly the same.
Hey! I strongly believe that we shouldn’t mess with the word of God, adding or taking away anything and should speak it as it is. It is truth on its own so no need to taint it. This video was definitely more of a teaching style message. I do think there is a time and place for testimonials. Also I think of how Jesus was moved with compassion, how he cried and was human too. Nothing wrong with emotion, but we need to make sure what we speak isn’t based of our feelings but based on true encounters and true revelation from God. The word says in these last days old men will dream dreams and young men will have visions, meaning I absolutely believe he will use both to minister to people and bring revelation/ prophecy.
Everything we do/ say should point to God, not taking any credit or glory for ourselves. We are nothing without him!
@@jessoladi Nobody since John wrote Revelation, has ever had a dream or prophesy that IMPROVED the Bible, or even said anything nearly as clear as the Bible ALREADY said!!! Don't get fooled into thinking emotionalism is spiritual truth. Nobody has a dream or vision that ministers, for that is for their own glory. NOBODY is prophetic today.

The Apostle John gave a beautiful parable on sanctification. The recorded teaching of Jesus washing the disciples feet is all about sanctification. We do the repenting Jesus does the purifying. I fell down for many years because I thought I had to do the purifying of my heart. Great, great video and topic. Be blessed.

I have seen the Lord Jesus Christ.
I think this topic can be a double edged sword. God has spoken to me through many means and some of them aren't considered righteous and when I ask about it he says I created everything I can communicate as needed. I then always question the thought or voice and have been told many times don't put me in a box. It has always been things that calm me down or give me a clear picture of what is happening in my life. When it comes from the other one I always know. Reminds me of "I do follow the Good Shepherd and I know HIS VOICE but the voice of a stranger I will not follow. I actually block most Christian channels because they seem to be almost more demonic than helpful.
Yes I agree, I believe God can speak to us in many ways and unexpected places. He’s used songs, movies, etc that are secular to speak to me at times as well

Lucky you, God is mainly confusing in my life and pretty lack luster when it comes calming down. I just found a 20 year old bottle of morphine, just started taking cause the Jesus in my life isn't interested in healing pain or a purpose in life.

A pure heart doesn't mean sinless, but honest and humble before God. King David had a heart after God's own heart, yet he was guilty of killing his top official and taking his wife.

Yes I agree the pure heart is more about heart posture, but as someone that is honest and humble their goal as a follower of Christ is to be more like him and to honor Gods commands.
I also think the verse I referred to in psalm 24 says pure heart and clean hands, and keeping our hands clean refers to innocence and not dirtying our hands in evil and sin.
Yes our sins are continually covered by the blood. And that is why I mention Peter’s story. That even he messed up but Jesus was ready to accept him and use it for good.
I’m thankful God calls and chooses us despite our sin, and that only he knows the heart. No one will ever achieve perfection, but we sure should try to run the opposite direction from partaking in sin and wickedness! For our own sake, and for ministry purposes.

Jesus said to His disciples in Matthew 10:40 “He who receives you receives Me, and he who receives Me receives Him who sent Me. 41 He who receives a prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive a prophet’s reward. And he who receives a righteous man in the name of a righteous man shall receive a righteous man’s reward. 42 And whoever gives one of these little ones only a cup of cold water in the name of a disciple, assuredly, I say to you, he shall by no means lose his reward.”
God is honored when do the task He has given to each of us regardless of how small or big the task we receive. When God accounts us on judgment day, He will not ask us if we did the same thing other brethren in Christ did. He will account us for the specific task He has given us.
As we read the scriptures, we can see that even a cup of cold water gives honor to God if we do it for God and for the sake of the Gospel of Christ.

We can live by the law or by Jesus Christ salvation but not both. Since if we choose law then we take back on adams sin.Cause Jesus Christ defeated the devil and started a new covenant for his believers.
Jesus said he came not to abolish the law but to fulfill it. (Matthew 5:17) He also said for example that in the old they say “do not commit adultery” but Jesus said if you even look at a women with lust you’ve already committed it in your heart. (Matthew 5:27&28) Meaning the standard is actually higher now. We are sinful and there’s no way to be perfect. But bc we now have Jesus who came as the ultimate sacrifice and forgives our sins continually.. we are actually supposed to be more like him and try to refrain from sin. Especially intentional and planned out sin. His blood gives us amazing assurance that we will go to heaven despite our mistakes, but we also can’t forget God’s commandments and Jesus’ teachings.

Yes I understand. Bc of this sin cursed world we are sadly born into this sinful nature and are not inherently good on our own. But with the help of the Holy Spirit guiding and strengthening us.. and by staying near to God and his ways.. we can try to be more like Jesus’ character. No one will ever reach that perfection, but we should try our best not to partake in sin and wickedness as children of light!
And yes thank God for the gospel and the blood that covers our sins. This is why I refer to Peter, though he failed Jesus was ready to accept him back and use it all for good in the end. He chooses us despite our sins and short comings. 🙌🏼
