This gorgeous cantata begins with progressive entrances of the voices, by imitation. The Alto, instead, enters solemnly reciting the long-notes Cantus "Ach Gott, vom Himmel sieh darein". In the first about 30 bars the independent Continuo (from Bass) is very interesting. Here the counterpoint is very sophisticated and there are beautiful cadenzas. Then the first recitative. As usual in Bach, the Aria theme is always graceful and charming. After the second recitative, the cantata ends with the chorale, to close solemnly.
The Bach cantata-a-day begins! Enjoy the ride, at least 60 cantatas to come over 2 months. My other Bach score-videos > ua-cam.com/play/PLafpqg3vsKmdkXrDfKO3OW5__-En_pSdV.html
I love when Bach puts the cantus firmus in one voice within a fugue
