Thank you. Goldmark videos are the best!
Very illuminating, but I disagree about one point. Glaze does count. I've seen--I've done myself--many good pots ruined with bad glazes. You may never improve a pot off the wheel, you can certainly spoil it.
A beautiful and remote Cumbrian countryside seems like providing enough inspiration for Jim - film has a fully educational capacity - thanks to filmmaker - excellent angles :)
"Things" can be made quickly. Conversely, art can't be too concerned with the time, or the expense. So, it isn't a reach to connect art with simple living - because when time ceases to be money, it can be so much more than money.
10:10 "...but Thatcher stopped all that."
That was absolutely beautiful. I especially appreciated the expression of spirituality through the work.
I guess I'm kinda off topic but do anybody know a good site to watch new series online ?
@Khalid Gregory flixportal :D
@Torin Adrian thank you, I went there and it seems like they got a lot of movies there :) I really appreciate it !
@Khalid Gregory Glad I could help xD
A fine video I’ve enjoyed time and time again. The lifestyle, demeanor and attitude onward life art and pottery is very appealing.
Glad you enjoyed it

Jim is a wonderful potter - his work are natural deriving from fundamental simplicity of life pleasures :)
Fantastic views on the work ethic and attitude directed towards making pots. Thanks for the upload and awesome filming.
the amount of grog in that is something else.
Fantastic pots, I love the slip brushed pots. I have definitely acquired the taste!
"Margaret Thatcher tried to stop that" She's become a scapegoat for absolutely everything.
Wow,I haven't looked into Leach type ethic since school in the 70's Thank you.I am checking out the extensive Goldmark site.
I learn more with every repeated view. Thank you so much!
Thank you Conor.
Is he "candling" the ware with the wood fire or producing ashe? Why isn't the ash contributed while the glazes are molten?
makes me proud to be from sheffield
Have you thought about doing a positive and negative range ie: brown glaze with white slip motif back and front then doing the next pot in the White glaze with the brown slip motifs. Displaying them together like ying and yang. Love your work
Lovely film about a lovely man and incredible potter. As much a philosopher as Seasoned craftsman. Love these films. Well done Goldmark!
Just wonderful thank you.
Amazing...fantastic super sir
Great respect to this master
Thank you!
i think what he was trying to say was learn about all the glazes you go through and use it for what it is and that there is no one perfect holy grail glaze.
Интересно что он клеит на дно вазы когда ставит её в печку 14:05 ?
What a great soul...
cool, spoken like a true potter ,how did maggie put a stop to the back to the land movement over there?
Very inspiring to watch and changed my mind on the decoration he uses, unfortunately being a young potter there aren't the resources to buy such amazing pieces.
