One suggestion is to always check the continuity with a multimeter before you connect your home made RCA's to your equipment. If you have som kind of connection between the + and the minus - you will have a short curcuit.
@@kewlbug I thought twisted pair was more for differential signal systems that aren't that common. Shielded RCA's a more for single ended systems which are the majority.

@@RAW-CAt I guess I don't know. All mine are stinger 6000 (twisted pair)
