"Discordia" Lyrics (by Todd La Torre) August 26, 2014 at 1:29pm "Discordia" Verse 1 Hail Dumah, thousand eyed angel of death coming your way Breathe fire, silence is all that is left, nothing to say (nothing to say) As you’re falling wide awake, pleading for your life Lost all sense of time and space, sifting through the lies Chorus So you think you’re at the end, remembering the cries of those you loved No escape the time draws near, damn the gods from above Verse 2 Cry sinners Drown in the sorrows of guilt to set your soul free Scarred from a system, social condition supreme, monarch machine Chorus So you think you’re at the end, remembering the cries of those you loved No escape the time draws near, damn the gods from above. How many times did I deny Pathetic, prophetic hypocrisy you live by? In the end your final stand is a mystery. Bridge Fire....... Slithering through the hourglass. Fire....... Screams of pain preserved in time, Fire....... Hidden in the cracks and crevices A fortress of evil in your mind. Verse3 Enter the darkness that haunts you Into the courtyard of death Solicit salvation and mercy, your final breath Repeat Chorus Outro: Slithering through the hourglass. Screams of pain preserved in time, Hidden from the cracks and crevices copyrights: All music written by Glen Drover. Lyrics/melody by Todd La Torre
F*ck those Haters! They hate on Todd because most know Tate's career is circling the toilet now days so they think if they attack Todd it will make their lives better. Pathetic little trolls they are!!
Todd like you said in one of your recent interviews You are definitely not a one trick pony! Thanks for putting out a new song while we await the new Queensryche CD. \m/
Damn, Glen! Not that I ever thought he was a slacker or anything, but he managed to capture the sound Queensryche have recently been going for absolutely perfectly! It's like, Glen can literally mock any featured vocalist's band on the disc by just emulating the vocalist's band's particular style, and doing it at least as good or maybe even occasionally better, all while making it unique in it's own way as well. Props to Glen Drover for this incredibly inspiring metal jam! Nicely done! Can't wait to hear the tunes with Chuck Billy (Testament) and Tim 'Ripper' Owens (Judas Priest, Iced Earth, Beyond Fear, Charred Walls of the Damned, Dio Disciples, Spirits of Fire, etc etc). That's going to be some heavy shit!!
CAN I GET A HELL YES!! Third time is even better! Sounds incredible! This IS pure metal and fucking mind-blowing! Chicago is very pleased in the highest!
+petehawthrone WELL SAID!, Absolutely, to me EIDOLON IS THE GREATEST METAL I HAVE EVER Heard in the Last 20 years, and Todd Vocals are Perfect for the Continuation of EIDOLON, or whatever they would name it!
Pretty Cool. It's a grower... definitely takes a few spins. I'm sure it was a blast to create. You guys should do an EP. Are the drums programed? Todd you should do the drums, next time.
This is a great track, I'd love to hear more from these two, maybe an album or EP. Judging from the lyrics Todd doesn't appear to hold people that believe in god in very high regard though!
TODD LA TORRE TOLD BLABBER MOUTH IN HIS INTERVIEW THAT HE IS A BETTER SINGER THAN (MIDNIGHT) YOUR OUT OF YOUR MIND TODD LA TURD.HERE IS TODDS STATEMENT. READ THE WHOLE THING!! to win over the QUEENSRŸCHE fans? Todd: The difference for me is, I don't have the history, because it's not my voice on those records. It's not my voice they fell in love with. It's hard; it really makes it harder. Luckily, the CRIMSON fans accepted me the way that they did and I think it's because I've proven that I am a better singer live than Midnight was. I don't like saying it, but it's true - even the band says it. I don't have his range; I can't sing so super high. I can hit some high stuff, but it's not what makes a great singer; it's pretty overrated. It's cool. Not a lot of people can do it great, but it's still a bit overrated. Emotion is where it's at. Not that I should care too much what people think to the point that it consumes me, but if I make the band happy and proud, I can't ask for anything more. I'm human; these are my vocal cords.
I've seen Glen with Testament. A very good and confident player. He is great.
This song is badass, Todd rules can't wait to get his solo cd, I will buy anything this guy sings on,I met Todd at the Marquee Theatre here in Tempe,Az. super cool,no ego at all.

He still has that Bruce Dickinson, Geoff Tate and Crimson glory influence, I hear no originality at all, but sounds good for what it is.🤔
Everyone has influences..even you. And you might not even realize it..
Thank you for sharing this. Awesome! Todd's voice is amazing and the shredding! Love it. Excellent side project. Great collaboration! 🎸🎼🎶🎤

A cross between Eidolon's guitar riffs and Queensrÿche choruses. Excellent musicians!

He may also have some of the guitar tracks. He plays guitar, too.

A few more times listening and I'll have the tune down :-" .... I'll be able to sing the whole thing.... one octave down :D
***** Let me know how that works out for me, other me. :D
Reminds me how much I miss Fates Warning. Excellent song!
This is a great track, I'd love to hear more from these two, maybe an album or EP. Judging from the lyrics Todd doesn't appear to hold people that believe in god in very high regard though!
Good on him. .he obviously doesn't suffer fools gladly.
maybe he is good friends with the guys from stryper tho
Chris Hurrich I think there's a difference between people who believe in God and people who think God is altogether like them.
This sounds a lot like Bruce Hall-era Agent Steel.
fkn awesome music
😍❤️
Todd iz a Powerhouse! FN Beast on vocalz! And a Solid Drummer \,,/
wish this is what the new queensryche album will sound like.....Please.......
+inkaduelbee sadly it didnt even come close to this brilliance.

Great 💖
Wow! Metal lives!! Love it....just don't take away from Queensrÿche's progress. \m/
Todd, we want GROWL in QRYCHE!
Growling is not Queensryche style, might as well become another band.
AWESOME TOTALLY AWESOME!!!!
Glad Glen is working with awesome singers on this one. With Eidolon the singers were always the weakest link
Sounds like Queensryche but heavier, sounds fuckin' great! 🥁🎸🎵🎵🤘🏻🍻
I can hear Dickinson is some places.
