Also realistically there is no wrong 5* to pick, pick who you like, but these 2 are busted if you really wanna focus on the "BEST" characters

Lingyang are if you like acrobatic movement attacks set.
Jianxin are All Rounder unit, she has crowd control skill and can heal herself.
Encore are Fusion main DPS unit, her Intro skill launches multiple fireball to multiple enemies

I was incredibly lucky with the discount banner with Calcharo with my first pull. I then chose Verina as my second pull that went to max pity but in return I got a double 5 star Verina. So the free five star I chose Jianxin. So I think I have a really good start to WuWa.
Exactly the same for me.I got jianxin on my first 10 pull,then got Calcharo from the ticket and now I'm set on Verina 20 pulls away hard pity .

To me Calcharo feels more like Vergil from Devil May Cry. But honestly he could be either, maybe a nice mix of Sephiroth and Vergil.

Hate me all you want, but from my pov while Genshin is stingy with their 5 star characters, it makes the value of the character increase. Like you would cherish your character the moment you got it because you know how hard you’ve been working to get it. While getting many 5 stars can give you ecstatic feeling, it doesn’t last cuz it’s not memorable.
True, but this is just standard banner characters, and the ticket and the 40 standard pulls they give in the mail is just for launch. New players months down the line won’t get that chance. They will still have to farm for the pulls to get the discounted standard 5 star and then the 80 pulls guaranteed 5 star. That will take them a some time, meanwhile the launch players get the free 5 star character ticket. A few months down the line, the rewards probably won’t be quite as generous, but instead in line with regular gacha games (i.e. free 10 pulls during new updates, free 4 star character during events, etc.)
Hella early on this one! The game is so laggy and crashes occasionally, but so far just on the first day alone I got the featured 5 star and 3/5 standard 5 star. Me with Genshin could never..

Gacharot is too cool. Pgr could have been like this. Instead the characters there mostly sexy waifu rather than cool male character. Still it's understandable due to how ppl attracted to these kind of things

Tips for WuWa (or any other team based game actually):
In the early game, the most important to do is synergize your team! Echoes/artifacts/relics and weapons are quite hard to get early on, the first thing to do is adjust your team based on their strengths and weaknesses, a good team covers each others' blindspots
From there, you can start building them up slowly, WuWa needs, I think, at least 3 teams for their endgame content
Have fun, don't rush things and take in the scenery

I got Verina from the Novice Banner. Then, selected Jianxin.... My phone crashed when it shined gold during the convene animation. When I logged in again, I already got a one more copy of her( IT WAS A DOUBLE!!?? THANK MY 🥔 PHONE!!).
Next in the 5 star selector, I selected Calcharo.

Truly a Wuthering experience.
Interesting. I got Calcharo from the first 10 pull I made on the standard banner. Then got Jiyan on Limited banner on 12th Pull, his Weapon on 24th pull. Used the Beginer banner selector to get Verina and then used the 5* voucher for the Anemo Lady (forgot her name). I'm guessing alot of players have been able to get multiple 5* units due to the rewards and forgiving gacha system?
@@fakenamesam7453 Good for you bro, I can't even play the game now. The only thing I can do is enter the game and do the check-in. The moment I try to move the character, the game crashes. I have to rely on my homie now.
@@shravan8940 I can understand. I mostly play on PC, but did install it on my phone. My phone has an awful chip (Snapdragon 695) so the experience is quite awful. I hope they optimise it to hell so u and many other mobile players can play it properly.

You can't even choose wrong for selector in this game, get one 5 star from begginer banner then pick what you want from free selector in mail and pull for last one also for free need few days to get 80 pulls again. So you always will have 3/5 standard characters :D
I got Verina and later Calcharo from the beginner banner, went with Jianxin as my pick from this selector as the next best option for me.
Currently trying to get Jiyan (after losing 50/50 to lion boy, please my man come home already 😭)
GG! I got Calcharo from my guarantee and Verina from the normal beginner banner, and I went for Jiyan then got an early Jianxin so I got hella lucky, also early weapon, VERY much lucky and very much looking forward to try them all out
I got SUPER lucky. I got Verina in 11 pulls on novice banner, Calcharo in ONE PULL on his guaranteed banner(yes, I'm not kidding), then Lingyan in like 20 pulls on standard banner. And then we got that 5* selector, and I got Encore from that. I'm only missing Jianxin and I'll have them all. In 3 days. Like wtf is this luck.
And now I have like 40 pity on Jiyans banner, so hopefully I'll get him too. Then I'll be the happiest man alive

Verina was my first 5-star, and I was disappointed at first, 'cause she wasn't one of the ones I really wanted, but I'm glad I got her now. Her healing is very useful to me, since my game has to be on low graphics quality and still lags sometimes. :"D
Plus it's just really hard to dodge when you're not used to playing mobile RPGs.
But then, I used my voucher to get Lingyang, 'cause he's the one I wanted the most, and I selected Sephi- I mean, Calcharo as my novice banner target, 'cause he was the second one I wanted. And I got him in 30 pulls. ^^
verina keeps coming home for me lol i have her c2 atm, but my favorit to play is jianxin! her kit is so fun for me plus she's c6 zhongli she gives a shield that ALSO HEALS YOU PERIODICALLY without needing to take any damage! i love jianxin so much!
I got encore and jianxin for 8 pulls and got verina again on the next 10 pulls and on the select 5 star banner i got 2calcharo in 50 pity😂

I got Calcharo as my first 5* at 20-pity from those wishes they give you in-game as a new player, and I thought, "Hell, No!", because I only have around 50 pulls after less than a day of playing, and I really want the Verina to be my first. Thank God for the free selector, those bugs were a blessing in-disguise. I was satisfied with just the two of them but then after getting blue balled from the Main Quest due to level restrictions, I decided to use all of my remaining resources to pull for Lingyang out of boredom, but instead got blessed by the GachaGods and took both Jianxin and Encore plus a Sanhua at 30-pity after Cal. 😭 Man, I love this game!

Thanks Bran. I was unsure but after watching this video, i went and pulled on the weapon banner. I got The 5 star weapon in the free 7 pulls converted from the shop. Also chose Calcharo with the free 5 star selector.
I like using Verina not just because she is a great healer and buffer, but also over world movement is fun with her charge attack.
I got Verina in the first 50 pulls, then got Calcharo with the ticket, then got a Verina S1 in 20 pity on the selection banner. I was going thinking of getting S1 Verina or S1 Calcharo at 10 pity, so I was going to swap charcter for each ten pull, but Verina came home in the first 10 pull.
Now saving for Yinlin
My first 5★ was Jianxin while Verina was my most favorite character (which I got her with my 5★ selector)

After genshin and hsr I’m just going full force into building a team with my favorite character early and sticking with it.after getting Jiyan I’m saving my pulls only for supports that help Lingyang or whenever Scar releases

I got Jianxin from beginner's 50 guaranteed discount convene, lost 50/50 on jiyan's banner with only (20 pulls) to Verina, and decided to use 5* star character ticket on Calcharo but outta nowhere I just pull Jiyan 😮 with leftover corals on radiant tides after losing to verina

I pulled a single 10 pull on Jiyan. I’ve wanted him since I saw him waaaay back in the Alpha. My friend and I were watching. It went gold. I screamed. Going through the pulls, Jiyan came home at 6 pity…. I still want Cal a lot, because he looks like so much but I know Verina logically makes more sense. Thoughts on what I should do? My guarantee 5* on the beginner banner was Lingyang unfortunately.
I won verina c1, calcharo in standard banner for only 100$ and in limited banner, I got double 5*, Jiyan and Lingyang in only 10 pity. Now I just want Encore.
Edit: OMG I forgot they gave a free 5* selector and I get Encore from there.
My phone is low end so I'm playing this on lowest settings, so my strategy is to use Calcharo as main dps + Verina + Baizhi to ensure my Calcharo won't die...I just swap a bit more often to heal with skill and I mostly use Summon Echos not Transformation that way I can still use skills and ult while the echo's skill do its thing. For echo stats on Calcharo I go for full Void lightning echo types main stats of ATK % / Crit rate / Crit dmg...for the supports Full moonlight or 2 piece moonlight 2 pcs character element. Main stats on HP%...
Initially I was hoping for Calcharo, but then the RNG gods decided to bless me with Encore. And that was when my inner Klee main went into full force.
As for the selectors, I decided on S1 Verina since heals and buffs are peak. Also, she gives off Nahida vibes to a degree ;p
My tip for playing WuWa rn: theres not really 1 right way to play a character or a team, simply because everything is so new, you can adjust the teams into your own playstyle.
Mortefi buffs heavy atk dmg for Calcharo, but Calcharo does need to stack up for the heavy atks, also he only uses 2 HA inside his ult.
So if you're not used to the heavy atk stuff and just wanna spam basic atk, Sanhua is also great as she buff basic atk.
Some even consider Spectro Rover to be useful as they time stop the enemy.
Literally build your team to your liking and enjoy the game, cuz theres not really an outlier of broken supports yet, they roughly do similar things.
Verina keeps me alive, bruh. she's best pull for me. or best gift since she came free.

I disappointingly got Encore as my first 5star. Meh. The pink little girlie with plushies… zero interest. Most likely won’t even built her.
My fave right now is Encore, she's like Klee turned into a little devil. 😂 I just liked her so much, that I went back to that account even after rerolling Calcharo. 🤭
