Yolo isn't necessarily bad; it's how you take it. I'm in college, and I try to live by yolo, but I don't drink or do drugs, even though there are ample opportunities for me to do so. I try to make a difference with my life, and live with the concept that you only live once; MAKE IT COUNT. That was what yolo was originally supposed to mean, and people sometimes forget that and/or misinterpret that.

The day that we got the call saying that he might not make it was the saddest of my life because all I could think about was "is he ready to go, did he do everything he wanted to do in his life " that ran through my head every day when he was in the hospital. Luckily he pulled through god was with him every step and I still cry when I hear this song because I know that there is people out there that wasn't finished with there life when they left and my heart goes out for there family

I had a good friend that I only knew online, but we talked via instant messages almost every day. Over time he logged in less and I just thought he was busy with stuff or maybe had started to date someone or the like. Then he stopped coming online all together and I didn't know what had happened. Finally I got to talking with a mutual friend who told me that he had passed away. He had been diagnosed with late stage cancer and didn't want many to know cause he didn't want anyone feeling sorry for him. I can kind of see that, but at the same time I wish he had let those that cared about him know so that we could have spent time with him and said our goodbyes. I hope at the very least that he got to do some of the things listed in the lyrics of this song during his final weeks on this world.

This song is so hard for me to listen to and yet I do, to honour someone who was close to my heart and so dear to me. He had lymphoma and beat it once before with a bone marrow, then years later after we both went in different directions in life yet still remained good friends he tells me that he had got Hifgkins lymphoma as well as non hogkinx lymphoma, so whilst trying to fight one the other was taking a toll. We spoke often and he told me of all the things he wanted to do, his dreams etc. I reminded him of this song and he said yeah I didn't do that, but you do it for me. I wish I could've been there but I just hope he was happy and I always remember this song and the message to live life to the fullest.
