Mayu was just before giving birth to her child. The band all performed in loose clothing in support of their bandmate. Also, the reason she was given out by the end of the show.
I always like to tell people that Mayu was 13 months pregnant and watch them slowly do the math...
Mayu was pregnant when they shot this video. That's why she wearing baggy clothes and not screaming as much. Also they had performed at aftershock and she was definitely showing there. Mayu had a healthy baby boy November 22nd.
She's not screaming in the video. It's the studio track :) I prefer her singing to her screaming. They should get Yukina to scream for them :)

I've been on a Nemophila rabbit hole lately. Watched a bunch of their covers, rehearsals and behind the scenes content. Some things I've come to appreciate is how hard they work, how much they care for each other and how much fun they're actually having. Everything is genuine and you can especially tell when someone is in the background just being natural and not noticing the camera. I saw two videos that were book ends of their first big group tour with other bands, I think like 2 weeks in Japan. In the beginning you see their nervousness of playing gigs this big but by the last show you can literally feel the new self confidence and pride they felt after a successful run. They talk about playing with J-Metal royalty and actually being excited about learning from the OG's, whether its stage presence or playing techniques. I honestly have never been a fan of the scream metal but I'm glad I gave this band a chance. Mayu actually has a great voice and you get singing way more than growling. She actually reminds me a little bit of Joan Jett in way, the raspiness and how it can feel like its grabbing you by the shirt collar and shaking you (Listen!!!). I've also seen how hard she works on how to pronounce English words right. It takes a lot of confidence to sing some of the rock/metal English covers she sings and not be self conscious with the speech. Love her work ethic. And the drummer, every time I see her play I smile. On top of being awesome, she has that smile that makes you smile, just for no reason except that she's smiling (Witchcraft!! lol). In fact the whole band is like that. If your having a down day, play a video of these girls rehearsing and you'll start to feel better because the fun they're having will become infectious. This is a great group and I hope they have great success.

Great reaction .their new album came out yesterday. She still screams on a number of the songs. Zen she screams through the whole song and it is incredible banger. Great song. I have seen some of their live streams and I have notice her voice gets a little tired in the end but not so much where its really noticeable. It happen at Aftershock too but she still let out great growls and screams till the end. It mainly was noticeable on her cleans when she hit a high she cracked a bit but with her raspy voice it really does not show much. Not too mention at Aftershock she was a little over a month from giving birth and it was a very hot day. The upcoming Japan tour next year and the states she will performing on multiple days so that will be a work out for her voice wise. But I am sure she knows how to take care of it between concerts. Speaking of that I get to see them in Dallas on March 19th and cant wait. Hope you get tickets to one of the shows too.

Band-Maid was announced in a rock festival in Florida. So probably another US tour to go with it. I saw Band-Maid in Seattle they were great. I hope to get a chance to see Nemophila. I also now really want to see Hatsune Miku Expo.

Mayu was about two months pregnant in L.A. and 7+ in Sacramento.

Mayu was pregnant at the time they made that video, and in their LA gig, she was in her 6th month. Most probably that's the reason why they didn't do a US tour just like Band-Maid..., just a wild guess though))) That would explain the urban style of clothing too)))
I've seen both Nemophila and Band-Maid live, and both can tear the roof down. The main difference to me was that Band-Maid felt like they have been doing this for ages, and could play the crowd better than most bands. The charisma of Miku Kobato takes over the entire venue and everyone is entranced. Nemophila is comfortable when playing their music on stage, but the interaction with the audience isn't the same. No offense to the ladies of Nemophila, but there are few people in this world that have what Miku has. Do not miss Band-Maid, next time around.
Of course Band-Maid have been doing it a lot longer. But they don't have Nemophila's music (different genres, for a start) or stage presence. They are going to be MASSIVE. 🤘🔥

If you like bass guitar work plus lead guitar playing, you really should be watching and listening to Asterism again. Maybe playing Church, Gunfire or Dawn.

this entire album is awesome. every track has its own style, tone and power. it's so good. something for everyone. I cannot wait to experience their live show in March. She was deep into her pregnant btw, amazed at how good she did sound in her 8th month. she had a baby a few weeks ago....so take that into account when you review anything she sang live in the past few months....and as far as Band-Maid goes, they are coming back, their 10 year anniversary is coming up and I expect there will be a lot of activity coming up in 2023. but t hey are already set to do an appearance at a rock festival in Florida so far.
You like the growl at the end.. go for one of their harder songs... do 'Zen' or 'Ama-Te-Rasu' .. Official live... you will be blown away!!!!

Since you are on a J-Metal/J-Rock spree, and you have already discovered BAND-MAID, Lovebites, and Nemophila ... you should check out the final member of the Fantastic Four: Hanabie. Start with _We Love Sweets,_ and work your way to _Pardon Me I Have To Go Now._ You will not regret it.
I think Band-Maid certainly will be back in the States next near as they arescheduled to play at the Rockville 2023 festival at the Daytona Speedway on May 18th. I don't know if this will be part of a longer tour but I would have thought it likely. It would seem odd to come all the way to America just for a small slot at a music festival and, in any case, assuming their management can think and breath at the same time, they would want to capitalise on the success of their last tour.
Their management knows what they are doing, and if not... Miku will get them in line. These festivals are great PR, even if they don't make any money. They obviously impressed at Aftershock, and are climbing the festival lineup as a result. I'm really glad they are playing the same day as Puscifer... I hope Maynard gives them a listen. I even said that 'from now on' could be on a Tool album. Maybe that's a stretch, but BM is definitely becoming more progressive, and that's a good thing.

Nemophila are good , lead singer is cute ! But i think You are a better singer ! Also I'm finding it hard to enjoy other bands after seeing all NIGHTWISH songs ! i know their styles are different but hearing floor belt out Nightwish Songs & her own songs i believe floor has set a very high standard as has Nightwish...
