Tale of one coin with two sides. Yes it's a great rock song on the surface level, but flip it over and this song is the decaying stage of what was Hair Metal.
R.I.P CJ Snare. This was such devastating news hearing about his passing. We love you so much and you’ll forever be missed. Thank you for the amazing music you left us. And your legacy will live on 🤘❤️🕊️
rest in peace. I met them when they were just signed to Epic records where some of my friends worked they actually played some acoustic songs outside the CBS BUILDING On west 52nd st in Manhattan on the plaza
band formed in Charlotte, North Carolina in 1989.[1] The band reached stardom during the early 1990s with hit singles like "Don't Treat Me Bad" and "All She Wrote", as well as their signature ballads "I Live My Life for You", "Love of a Lifetime", and "When I Look Into Your Eyes". At the 1992 American Music Awards, FireHouse won the award for Best New Hard Rock/Metal Band. They were chosen over Nirvana and Alice in Chains.
RIP CJ Snare you are gone but not forgotten I been a huge fan since 1990 I never seen you I love Firehouse always have and always I’m at such a loss right now WoW
I dont think in history, but I do think they came out at just the wrong time where the genre was being enveloped by crap grunge. They were an awesome band, and their music lives on. Louisiana 504 area code here bobby. I think worst in history had to be Zebra.
I have to agree. This song has so many similarities to modern Rock. They undoubtedly were an inspiration, and they got overlooked from the competition. I have to listen to their LP's now.
Most underrated band in history is XYZ, as evidenced by the fact nobody knows who they are. Look up their songs "Nice Day To Die", "Souvenirs" and "What Keeps Me Loving You" for verification. That being said, Firehouse definitely rocked far above the level of appreciation they received. It's unfortunate grunge and old school rock couldn't coexist in the record label's minds. It robbed us of some serious awesomeness.
Oh yeah - I would be just loving it and watching one video and thinking "what will be next" because in the 80s I loved most of the songs - this was a real feel-good song that rocked and had the pretty blonde in the video!
RIP CJ ❤ It was a pleasure seeing you and the boys performing in Shillong, India, in the late 2000's. Thanks for the memories. You guys are Legend out here and appreciated by rock fans out here.
Still have my ticket stub from '91! So sad that CJ is gone - and at such a young age... Heaven's happy, though, no doubt! 🩵💔🩵 (BTW: best 2 seconds of this video: 3:45-3:47!!)😍😉😘
I was 16 when this song was released. I loved being a teen in the early 90’s, these songs have so many great memories attached to them, they’ll always be my classics.
Ditto! I was also 16 when this came out. Unfortunately, grunge came out shortly after some of these bands who had amazing music in 90 /91 & music & the culture shifted, sadly. I say sadly because in hindsight most grunge bands sucked; the musicianship & talent wasn’t even close with the exception of bands like Soundgarden & STP.
I watched this video every day on VH1 before I went to work. I met the band when they played in our town. It was great to have them play in the bar. They were all so nice.
1991 right after graduation.. My friend picks me up in his car, "you ever here this song by that new group firehouse?" Me : Nope...(shoves in tape on his alpine) Rest of the trip 🤘😃🤘

Def Leppard, firehouse, winger, and whitesnake, big tour Like in 1990! How badass of a show would that have been?! Firehouse was so underrated, loves these dudes
R.I.P CJ Snare. 😢 You will be missed. Thanks for all the great songs, and memories of the 80's, and 90's, when great music like this existed.

I saw them when they were still known as White Heat.
U never knew that. Thats awesome considering how much hair metal was struggling.
actually the band formed in various line ups in the 80s, first got signed in 1989
They beat out Alice in Chains ? They're not that good lol
although nirvana and aic were grunge rock! not real rock! good bands as well but not the traditional rock sound like firehouse gave us.
I'm glad I got to meet them at Rolling Stone Records in Chicago, back in 92. Got the whole band's signatures! Still have them too. RIP CJ
C.J. Snare: In Memoriam. Rest In Power. Horns Up! 😈

Nobody now-a-days realize that the M on M-tv meant MUSIC! Im going to see them in concert tonight as they open for Warrant! Gonna be a great night.
When? Stop lying! 🤣
Miss good old MTV and I probably played this song a million times lol
If you weren't a teenager back then u totally missed out on something special

Saw them live a few months ago. His voice is still perfectly intact.
I would love to see a hair band showcase concert
It wasn’t even perfectly intact back then.

My first concert, Lakeview Arena 🤟🏻
An awesome group and sadly didn't get enough recognition. Rock on Firehouse I'm 55 and still jamming out this song :)
Firehouse is so under rated, I wish more people in our generation were more interested in this genre of music - someone born after the 19 hundreds
1994 baby here, so true
RIP CJ. Great vocalist of our times
How I miss these days. I'm in tears.
