My husband throws away ball bands too. So I got a binder and plastic sleeves and put the bands in there. They are neat, organized and not laying around, getting on his nerves.

But, KnitCrate for me anyway. It just felt that they went downhill. I even have some yarn to dye from them & there is no darn label. So, I’m going to have to search to find out what it is. On your item from nick grate for the bottom that you have been putting you hooks in you can put a tuna can in the bottom with a small coaster so it won't be noisy when you put your hooks in it. The Knitcrate boxes are available but you have to pay $2 extra and the booklet is in those. I'm good with not having the boxes because they're taking up too much space for me not to be doing anything with them and the same goes with the booklets. I'm quite happy to just download the pattern(s) I want because I definitely don't want all of the designs. Instead of canceling, I just skip from month to month if I don't want the yarn. I've been skipping the last 4 months because I don't just want solid yarn and that's all they've been offering in some odd colors that I'd never buy, lol.

You can make it out of cotton yarn. Use a balloon inside after making and starch it. Light or heavey depends on what feel you like. You can use cardboard to make the one you have stiffer. I thought your project was cute. But to each his own.

I loved the yarn you dyed with wine. It was very pretty. I have a binder for my patterns, if you put loose leaf in it you can tape the ball band to it. Or it might could go in a page protector. Keep in on the bottom of the cart. Just an idea cuz, I was swimming in ball bands, Some I even taped to the inside of the binder. Just an idea.
Hi Summer! Re: ball bands-toss a glue stick (or a spool of adhesive tape) and one of your pretty notebooks with a pen into your cart. When you use up the yarn, tape the ball band into the notebook, date the page and enter the name of the project. Don't worry about sorting or chronological order or anything like that. You will have a simple reference right in your cart and no worries about the Hubs tossing out that information. Have an awesome day!!

I like those metal Boye pear shaped stitch markers because they can be used for both the knit and crochet. I use the dangle markers for knitting to mark the "wrong side" of my work when I need to know which is which lol. Sweet, I didn't know a stitch guide existed for amigurumi. I hate how expensive that Yarn Bee is for most kinds but I sure do love a lot of it. Oh yeah, I got a notice they are going to quit coupons. Cool you kept the student letters :)

The other 2 are for my youngest kids that kept trying to steal mine 😂 My husband detest my ball bands too 😂 he sneaks around finds them and puts them in the fireplace!

I do a lot of amigurumi. I use tally marks as well but I do them on a post it note that I can stick (temporarily) to my pattern and move it as I go...removing it when I'm done and my pattern is unmarked unless I add notes for next time. :)

your english is perfect. When I was a senior in high school my family hosted an exchange student from sweden. She made it seem like sweden was full of fun loving friendly people!
I make what I call a working copy. I can write on it, make notes and then transfer them to the real pattern. My fingers have an oil in them that smears any type on magazine pages. It is so bad that I can't hold the magazine while I look through it. I feel that as long as I transfer the notes to the real pattern and throw the copy pattern away, that I am not being illegal. The notes I put on the real pattern I cover in scotch tape.

I have that same yarn too. When I was dying my yarn with wine, I was thinking of dying it too ( but I could fine the label). I thought I lost it.

I think her blanket is made using Willow squares. There is a tutorial on UA-cam for them.
