Great review! I actually went from an iPhone X to the SE (2020). My iPhone X's battery was absolutely horrible and the phone would freeze so often, sometimes ruining phone calls and restarting itself. The SE is absolutely great, extremely fast, and I missed Touch ID. I will be trading it in for the iPhone 12 Pro when that releases.
I was very happy with my IPhone 6 and kept it until my purchase of an SE a couple weeks ago. My decision was not totally money based but more on what I was hearing and reading about the SE. I figured that it would certainly be a big upgrade and since I paid upfront for it; I save myself the added monthly bill. And that's a good thing. While I could have upgraded to any other iPhone, I figured you don't miss what you don't have!
I have had my SE 2 since it’s release. I had a 7. In terms of performance the new SE is outstanding value. I was tempted to buy an 11 but glad I didn’t as it was too large for me. Due to eye strain I cannot use an OLED screen. Although it’s only 720p I find the picture more than acceptable for watching Netflix and UA-cam. The camera is really good in good to medium light and video recording quality is simply amazing. Trust me if you are thinking of upgrading from an iPhone 8 or below then you will not regret getting the new iPhone SE. I have an iPad as well so the small screen is perfect for me as I mainly use it for photography and music and my iPad for gaming.
I think it's funny how smartphones kept getting bigger and bigger. If they started out bigger, everyone would be clambering to get the smaller versions, being impressed with having something that would fit so nicely in your hand and in your pocket. I loved my first SE and hated the bigger phones. If I wanted a bigger screen, I'd use my iPad or laptop or desktop. I held off getting a new phone, hoping Apple would finally put out a smaller form factor. I almost gave up hope. But they finally did it! I love my SE2. There's nothing I feel I'm missing by not carrying around a sheet of plywood, otherwise known as an iPhone 11. Nice review. Thanks.
its great to see a reviewer who actually stated the obvious that the iphone design is actually from 2014. most people are paid to say only a couple of years old but this is a very old design!!
I got rid of my 11 pro max because of how annoyingly large it was and went with the new SE. If you don't care too much for the added camera features, face id and prefer a smaller form factor, you wont missing out on much by not owning an 11 pro max. With A13 bionic, it will be supported for years to come. The 11 pro max Just felt awkward carrying it in your pocket.
Excellent review. I downgraded from the XR after suffering years of widely known antennae problems resulting in drop calls. Choice was SE vs 11, couldn't justify paying the 47% higher price for the 11. Considered waiting for the 12, but the low price and high specs was an easy choice. Consuming media; I already possess Ipad, Laptop and Desktop computers.
most of the complaints are about the screen size , meanwhile we all prefer biger screen sizes for youtube, gaming and netflix and in the end we go to our pcs and gaming consoles for the better experience the 40 inches tvs provide us.....remember you choose your expensive phones only for youtube ,messenger and browsing but your phone is a mini pc so with an hdmi adapter you should choose te cpu performance not the size.....and most important is the os updates ....

I’m a tech enthusiast, and I still love my SE3. I have the IPhone 13 as my primary phone, but use my SE3 at night time and when I’m home on my days off. 5 to 6 hours of screen on time, a decent screen, and Touch ID, along with the A15 chip makes it a efficiently powerful small phone.
Upgraded to this new SE from an iPhone 6 and day to day performance is night & day. I loved that form factor so it's perfect. The battery life has also been great for me - flew my drone for an hour yesterday using the DJI App and it used 10% of my battery, where it would've used 80% easy on my 6. The A13 in this new SE is an insane value.
I bought it last week. And I'm very happy with it. Red, 256 gb. Battery life around two days. Small. Fast. Great video. Very good for me. My case is 2mm, silicon. Yes, I'm not tech or what ever. Just a pianist ;)

I have an iPhone 6....been using it for 5 yrs, have changed after market display and battery and its about to break apart...thank God iphone se is here
Excellent review. I bought the phone upgrading from SE. I would have definitely helped you by clicking on the link for Amazon, but I am in India. So bought it from Flipkart here as Amazon is not selling it in India. And In India, the price is higher. It's a brilliant phone for my work and for someone who wants a phone to last for 4 years at least.
Uhh I have one and my battery had been dying way fast. Faster than my aftermarket iPhone 6 battery. Is this because my iPhone se battery is brand new??
I got one for my little sister she's turning 14 and I think it's a good starter phone she can keep for 3+ years if needed and can do all the essentials with good performance she's a heavy user with social media and she's been having up to 5 hours of screen on time which is decent and even surprising for a device of that size imo I think it's decent battery for the capacity and a great but especially for young people who might break their phones this is easy and cheap to repair
Actually watching it from my first iPhone.. the iPhone SE 2020 128GB. Got it last week. Coming from a decade with Android devices.. it’s fresh, fast, lagfree, great form factor.. camera is amazing for this price range. Battery is a downgrade though compared to my 2 other Android devices Oppo Reno 10x Zoom and Redmi Note 8 Pro.. But I’m happy with the buy. Cheers !
Surprised to see a comparison of weight between Se and older iPhones! I have a 6 and keep it for the small factor. The Xr which is my main is just too heavy and too big for me 😭 I’m thinking of getting SE so I can finally let go of my 6
@@Atason1000 The way smartphone technology is evolving these days, it is best to buy the latest & greatest. I wish to keep my smartphone for at least 2-3 years minimum, so the battery holds up longer, which is the most important these days (as the soc technology more or less has reached its peak). Also, you get the software support little longer if you purchase the latest smartphone.
Hey buddy iPhone 6s may not even get IOS 14 coming up soon you should’ve done your research of iPhones first the 6s is 5 years old maybe you can trade in your 6s to Apple get credit for buying the new SE or right now if you switch & port your number over to Metro you can get the SE iPhone for only $100 that’s a steal good luck man.
Should I get iphone xr or se? I am currently using a 5.7 inch display samsung with bezels and I am not really sure about the 4.7 inch that i will get used to it.What do you think?
My mom LOVES this, she’s 72 and finds the weight and size perfect for her older hands which have limited grip. Most phones are too big and heavy. I’d never have thought of that if I wasn’t buying for her.
I’ve been using the 11 pro since 6 months but I like the smaller form factor of the SE so much that I’m planning to get rid of my 11 pro and buy the SE. only thing that’s holding me back is the battery life. What do you suggest?
I got this for my boyfriend for Father’s Day. He found a XR at a store and we weren’t able to use it since it’s blacklisted. This phone is perfect I love the red color, takes good photos and so compact plus the A13 chip is a plus. Overall he gets to enjoy the iOS software and pair it with his series 3 watch.
Watching this on the SE after upgrading from the 6. I’ve had it for two days and I’m quite happy with it so far. I picked it because I don’t care about the bezels and I wanted the home button. Definitely not a phone for someone who had a X or 11
Thank you Daniel. Top quality as always. keep up the excellent work. and Apple you are fools if you don't take Daniel seriously. One of the very few reviewers who is knowledgeable and does his homework.
What I don't get is A51 and A71 get compared to SE because of price but they use midrange chip. S10 lite uses the slightly older premium chip. And cost around £400 meaning it's a fairer comparison with performance
Really really great and detailed video! thank you for this in-depth review. the close up recording of the phone are awesome and it's cool seeing you dressed up like Steve Jobs with the black turtleneck 😄👍🏻
Something is not quite right with yourGeekbench 5 performance. On my iPhone SE, I got 1328 single core, and 3073 multicore. Your multicore result is much lower, how ? Was your iPhone SE still setting up (downloading email, movies, photos, etc) while you were running the test ?

Wow, all those effort for the thorough analysis and comparison with other iPhones. !
“I can barely feel the SE in my pocket”
I can barely fit the SE in my pocket lol
i really wished they'd put a bigger battery.
Great review Daniel i have watched many reviews over the past few weeks on the SE and yours is definitely of the highest quality..
I have an iPhone 6....been using it for 5 yrs, have changed after market display and battery and its about to break apart...thank God iphone se is here
Is this supported dual sim card???
Excellent review. I bought the phone upgrading from SE. I would have definitely helped you by clicking on the link for Amazon, but I am in India. So bought it from Flipkart here as Amazon is not selling it in India. And In India, the price is higher. It's a brilliant phone for my work and for someone who wants a phone to last for 4 years at least.
Uhh I have one and my battery had been dying way fast.
Faster than my aftermarket iPhone 6 battery.
Is this because my iPhone se battery is brand new??
No, I think it's just crap - Mine is down to 46% in just a few hours use and a 15 minute filming session.
It’s beautiful and I love it. I have a iPhone XR and the SE will be my second phone.
I upgraded from an iPhone 7 I love the iPhone se 2020
Why don’t you compare it to the original iPhone SE as well?
Actually watching it from my first iPhone.. the iPhone SE 2020 128GB. Got it last week. Coming from a decade with Android devices.. it’s fresh, fast, lagfree, great form factor.. camera is amazing for this price range. Battery is a downgrade though compared to my 2 other Android devices Oppo Reno 10x Zoom and Redmi Note 8 Pro.. But I’m happy with the buy. Cheers !
Surprised to see a comparison of weight between Se and older iPhones! I have a 6 and keep it for the small factor. The Xr which is my main is just too heavy and too big for me 😭 I’m thinking of getting SE so I can finally let go of my 6
Currently i dont have an iPhone. From the iPhone XR and iPhone SE2 which should i choose ??
Why is it more expensive in the Uk or have you got the conversion wrong
I love this man... hit like if u love him too :)
I wouldn’t say “love” because that is kinda creepy. But I like him, his channel, and his team and what they do. But I’m not gonna like. :))
@@sarcasmscreamsyourname5120 there's nothing with it !
Got mine a week ago. Switched from 8plus to 6 and finally to se2020. My wife is using iphone X and she honestly said se2020 is better.
Nobody told me about this... I got the iPhone 6s two months ago and I could of waited FOR THIS?! can I return my phone? 😭
never ever get a phone which was launched more than a year ago, no matter how cheap it is.
@@muthurajaselva can you write the reason please ?
@@Atason1000 The way smartphone technology is evolving these days, it is best to buy the latest & greatest. I wish to keep my smartphone for at least 2-3 years minimum, so the battery holds up longer, which is the most important these days (as the soc technology more or less has reached its peak). Also, you get the software support little longer if you purchase the latest smartphone.
@@muthurajaselva I got it now, Thanks sir.
“If you come from the iPhone 3g, you’ll see the difference “ come on dude
Most people planning to buy this phone come from the phones he mentioned throughout the video.
This is 2020 and guys are using IP6 comeon why do u use that old phones coz apple doesnt want u to use a new phone 😂😂😂
I know people who still use an iPhone 5 so it's not that far off...
Is it an upgrade if you come from an Samsung a20e
Should I get iphone xr or se? I am currently using a 5.7 inch display samsung with bezels and I am not really sure about the 4.7 inch that i will get used to it.What do you think?
My mom LOVES this, she’s 72 and finds the weight and size perfect for her older hands which have limited grip. Most phones are too big and heavy. I’d never have thought of that if I wasn’t buying for her.
Overkill?
I have the huawei p10 lite, but I would like to change to ios, is the SE a good upgrade?
Thank you for the great review John Ralphio. Nah all joking aside tho loving your channel and I subbed.
Definitely not a phone for someone who had a X or 11
I wasn't sure whether to get the SE, after this great in-depth review im definitely getting it...
Thank you ZONEofTECH 👌👌👌👌
How long iPhone SE 2020 can survive after starting it using.
Hey Daniel. Is the ESR Bumper Case compatible with the IPhone Lightening Dock? Will it be able to charge the IPhone SE? THANKS
Hey! What lightning are you using at 0:06 & 0:11?
will this still be available in november, like to buy new
I'm trying to use the promo code but it's not working, I'm buying the essential zero case and I've tried all capitals, no capitals, etc
Doesnt it remind you with the battery on the iphone 8 atleast , do you call this an indepth review?
