Even at her Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony he comments on how much he loves her smile at 1:53. He is so undeniably in love with this woman. They seem to be soul mates who's life paths just didn't fall with them together (star crossed lovers).
Everyone did a wonderful job in the movie, but Shane's performance was just breath-taking. My favorite line is when Landon (Shane) tells Jamie (Mandy) he loves her. The soft music playing in the back and the way he says it is just perfect: quietly b/c he's hesitating yet full of emotion b/c his love is overflowing. If a man said that to me the way he did, it'd be over! They need to make more movies of this caliber again!
I think the way Landon said I love you to Jamie is how Shane relays his real feelings for Mandy.

i picked up this dvd only because of being a fan of Mandy Moore. To my surprise i loved it, it was one of the most beautiful movies i have ever watched. It had a great soundtrack as well. However i thought this movie went under everyone's radar. I didn't expect it to be almost everyone's favourite. I wish they would make another movie together
