Berzerk reminds me much of the story of Elric of Melnibone, but it isn't necessarily direct. You could say that Griffith owns his physical characteristics while Guts owns much of the mental (including the sword and constant struggle against the changing world around him). The apostles and the god hand being present (especially in the eclipse) are similar to the gods of chaos as well as the final book Stormbringer where the chaos gods take form to battle upon the earth itself with mortals. In which case it should be no surprise that Muira was a fan of Elric and built a world of darkness with many similarities for the world of Berzerk. I'm in no way calling it plagiaristic however as we all know Berzerk is very much its own thing. In which case it's nice to see when authors honor their personal favorites enough to a point that they incorporate much of what it impressioned upon them. Neil Gaiman was also similarly influenced if not more, which for example can be seen somewhat in the American Gods series, largely because Moorcock made his gods perhaps even more human than the ancient Greeks or Romans.
Hope there would be a chance for a possible completion since we know what the plans are now since it was released after the creator of the manga sadly left us too soon.

It was not a matter of if for Griffith's downfall. The warning to Guts was that the egg of the king signifies this inevitability. Q2: Regarding the kanji "Taka," do you intend that to be Falcon or Hawk? Was there ever a conscious change in its usage, such as after Griffith's reincarnation, or has it always been "falcon" to you? “Falcon” or “Hawk”, both mean [鷹] in Japanese. In some dictionaries, “Falcon ” is translated as [隼(はやぶさ)] but there’s almost no difference. I used "Falcon" from the great name of the “Millennium Falcon" ship in Star Wars.

@@xXLunatikxXlul hopefully he answers, because I’m intrigued to know.
Me, who has never seen Berserk: Hm, yes. I understand everything.
Best Manga/Anime.
i hope Kentaro's protégé would continue the berserk saga
Man, berserk is ALWAYS so beautifully drawn even tho it can be quite terrifying 😂 but I absolutely LOVE the drawing in berserk.
Best anime, manga, series, movies, show, whatever you wanna call it. It’s t h e BEST whatever you wanna call it EVER!!!

@@michaelrosa9593 true… why’d he have to die.. could’ve atleast wrote down what he wanted to do with it in his will and let someone else finish it :,(
Wish the adaptation wasn't butchered.
Hope there would be a chance for a possible completion since we know what the plans are now since it was released after the creator of the manga sadly left us too soon.
It wasn't butchered until the 2016/17 series. The 97 series and movies are great.
@@NaglfarCommando agreed
I want to see the slug count and Rosine fight animated

This show is a classic.
You say you listed the most disturbing apostles. Rosine, one of the youngest apostles, should have been high on that list.
Great video! As a note it would be nice to see a bit more of the mangas panels between shots
the mighty SKULL KNIGHT will make them all his BITCH!!
Thank you Kentaro Miura for giving us the Black Swordsman and the King Gaiseric

The most disturbing and sad at the same time is Guts itself, everything about him, the berserker armor, his story, and God knows what he feels.
Even though a lot of this is mispronounced and a few other errors I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt for putting Berserk out there
Yeah I did that too. They aren’t true fans but they did well in most of their research
@@c.galindo9639 yeah that’s true so tried to look over it. They go over a wide variety of different mediums of entertainment and I know they can’t know everything about everything. So, as long as they try to keep Berserk alive I’ll give them a pass lol. But, if this were like one of those major comic book channels, or anime/manga reviewers and they were messing up then I’d probably say something but they’re cool I guess lol.
@@c.galindo9639 you mean they just wikid them and put it into his own words like a majority of stuff he does but I let it pass because I wanna see the people since I don’t know all tjem
@@mrthanos8140 I am just glad Berserk is getting more recognition considering the creator had to die to have it happen faster
@@mrthanos8140 I'm pretty sure the person who wrote the script for this video is not the person who is reading it. The person who wrote the script probably had nothing to do with the recording process, and might not have had anything to do with the video production at all. The kinds of mistakes in the video are a big clue, like saying "the flow of casualty" instead of "the flow of causality". Several channels take this approach, ranging from actual somewhat knowledgeable personalities that are helped by script writers to the soulless "just a job" formula for grinding out content.
Apostle GANISHKA'S name is inspired from an Indian emperor 'KANISHKA' The Great who indeed ruled the 'KUSHAN' empire around 150 AD was a good ruler who was follower of BUDDHISM. He was the one who introduced coinage in India . I don't know very much about BERSERK but you can see the clothes of Ganishka's wife are very similar to ancient Indian style.
His mission is not finished.
Berzerk will be completed.
Patience is needed as well as hope.
Thank you 🙏🏿

Causality not Casualty dammit! lol Neat vid though!
It's not 'casualty,' folks.
It's 'causality.'
There's a huge, huge difference.

thank you for making a video about one of the best fiction stories of all time man!!!!!!!

Great video of a great epic story
I don't think Void is a apostle, I think more of him as a Devil
3 disturbing demons for me
1. The woman demon who killed Cokus
2. The demon that is like a parasite that controlled Guts man.
3. The Demon who held Casca thatll impale her during all the Godhand scene.
This series needs to be seen to its day of completion and a studio that will do it justice.
The creator recently died and he never left instructions on how to end it. He was really young too, 50's, such a shame
His assistant stated in a tweet he's going to continue the story.

Kintaro left a legacy by telling us the story of a man who never gave up and met life head on
That’s crazy. I feel he left us a story about a man who’s too angry to die, and seek to take revenge on those who do him wrong.
@@mrdude88 in many ways it was, up until Guts found his inner peace and managed to choose to let his anger go. In the end, his body was a shell, he could not be in the presence of his love, but instead of raging at the things he could not change he found the serenity to accept them.
I hate to be that guy but...Causality, not Casualty.
irked me too. like sitting around a fire sipping mai tais.
Glad I'm not the only one that got irritated by that 😂
All of the fans of Berserk are “that guy”.
It really didn’t settle well but I enjoyed most of the video after that part
Dude it's fine to be that guy when I see the majority of people calling it the law of casualty incorrectly and continuing to do so
Even the band Brand of Sacrifice had an audio clip in a song that said "casualty" and then they rereleased the song with it edited to say "causality"
You the GOAT love watching blue lock, maybe start doing Dr stone?? Manga
This dude definitely didn't watch the anime or read the manga.
At least he’s covering berserk. Which is good because it’s criminally unknown by people
@4:22 the flow of what? Its causality, not casualty.
Void, Mozgus and the Demon Child aren't apostles you would know that if you actually read Berserk instead of reading off of the wiki or some journo article like CBR
I alway need more berzerk thanx a lot i miss the anime man
Kentarō Miura a legend 🔥
First time coming across this... . This looks insane!!!!
“So put your grasses on nuttin will be wong”

Time to reflect on Berserk
Causality (Cause Ality) not casualty. Two different words, two different meanings
Tbf these people quickly go over popular content and get most of the information correct. I give it a 7/10 overall
@@c.galindo9639 If Causality wasn't one of the major themes of Berserk i would agree with you. To get such an important concept wrong is to not understand the story at all.
Noticed this also. Maybe he's just a Voice Over.
@@ravenmead2864 I give them a pass because this channel brings attention to forgotten or overlooked gems so I take it with a grain of salt. I get what you mean though
Awesome 👌 movie 🎥 👌
The "god hands" are heavily inspired by hellraiser's cenobites, which I think is cool.
"flow of casualty" did i hear that right? Causality.......lol
Please please please!!!!! Fix this mistake. It is "The band of the Hawk" not the "band of the FALCON"
When it showed Griffiths eyes in the "batman suit" in the beginning, that was a clip from when he was piping Guts's girl right in front of him from the third movie. I absolutely hated that scene and that why I recognize it with a second and a half clip...
Jeeezz, so many mistakes…. Band of Falcon? Band of Hawk?? Boscon? Beherit? Casualty??? Nosferatu??? Gollum??
Griffith’s party is called Band of THE Hawk, not Falcon, that’s Femto’s…
Causality, not casualty, two veeeeery different things
Beherit is pronounced Behelit.
Wow….
They are going by the sub or Japanese context as well which is why some of the names are butchered but getting Causality wrong was so irritating to say the least.
@@c.galindo9639, still, the names of the groups are switched around… and their pronounciation of Nosferatu is pretty off, and he calls a golem Gollum…
@@StubbsDK yeah but not everyone is good with words and depending on the script some things are interpreted wrong as well. I didn’t come for semantics but the content and overall they did well for people that don’t follow Berserk

Flow of what? Casualty? Bro, it's causality. Different words.
Name 9f the songs used in the video . Also amazing video RIP Kentaro-Sama
Now that’s a good video. God I miss the 80s animated berserk. It was so well done it became legendary. The drawing the cast the animated motion. Nothing new could come close
how can you say this was good? the guy doesnt know anything about what hes saying. he is just reading notes from the wiki, poorly might i add.
@@RabidlyTaboo i understand what you’re saying And I appreciate that you are a hard core fan of the anime . But your far from my point .for the love of berserk we need more videos. The first anime adaptation of berserk came out in 97
There is no "80s animated Beserk". Beserk came out in the 90s.
@@Michael-hy3mtchatGPT-scripted trash isn’t the way to revive a fanbase
It was not a matter of if for Griffith's downfall. The warning to Guts was that the egg of the king signifies this inevitability. Zodd didn't kill Wyald for going against the God hand, but simply because he wanted to. He even says this. More than likely, it was fate itself intervening to save Griffith like it always did up until the moment he could make his choice during the eclipse. Also, casualty? "Indication" of doom? Did a five-year-old write this??

4:42 Great vid, but that word is pronounced CAUSE ALITY not Casualty lmao
“Zodd was impressed by Guts”
Zodd my friend, EVERYONE is impressed by Guts. Half the GODHAND is secretly impressed by Guts lol
I think Guts kinda reached his own little niche demigod status of Most Impressive Man In The Worlds lol
If a Lovecraft sea god can’t make him die then id be surprised if ANYTHING could lol
Band of the hawk.....cause ality some of these mess ups are very painful to hear as a diehard fan.
So weird hearing "band of falcon" and not "band of HAWK"
Had to go watch something else after hearing it one too many times 😂 just too cringe
Also Zodd is hands down the coolest apostle lol
I like how we’re going from the Chill Classy Monsters
, to the What The Fucks lol
Not bad but needs to be more well informed. Void, Mozgus, and the Demon Child are not Apostles. Also it is Causality not “casualty”.
Zodd also killed Wyald because he was dying and desperate to stay alive in wanting to hurry the ceremony to summon the Godhand.
It is ok and entertaining for a first go around for a channel that does quick summaries of things.
A 7/10

Band of the hawk bruh
Q2: Regarding the kanji "Taka," do you intend that to be Falcon or Hawk? Was there ever a conscious change in its usage, such as after Griffith's reincarnation, or has it always been "falcon" to you?
“Falcon” or “Hawk”, both mean [鷹] in Japanese. In some dictionaries, “Falcon ” is translated as [隼(はやぶさ)] but there’s almost no difference. I used "Falcon" from the great name of the “Millennium Falcon" ship in Star Wars.
What’s are the video scenes in this video sourced from? I would like to watch. They look really good I just don’t remember Guts fighting all these apostle’s in the shoes I’ve seen.
