Sarah Fisher's first time in a Sprint Car at Limaland

In 1995 Sarah Fisher graduated from Go-Karts to Sprint Cars. Her first time in a Sprint car was captured on tape at Limaland Motorsports Park. "Mr. Excitement" Tim Allison and Bobby Clark have a great battle for the lead.

It worked out fairly well even though she didn't get a win. First woman to win a pole in Indy cars. Track record at Kentucky. First female podium finish. Fastest lap ever at Indianapolis by a woman. First woman team owner/driver at Indy. There were and are other women in open wheel racing but Sarah has done the most to lead the way for them to be taken seriously.

Sarah Fisher had so much talent. I remember her early years in the IRL, she ran so well. Wish it had worked out for her.
