not an eagle. The Garuda bird is a mystical bird originating from Hindu mythology originating from India and developing in the territory of Indonesia since the 6th century. The Garuda bird itself symbolizes strength, while the golden color on the garuda symbolizes splendor or glory. On the eagle, * The number of each feather wing is 17 which has a meaning, the date of our country's independence is the 17th. * Tail feathers have the number 8 which symbolizes the month of our country's independence in August which is the 8th month. * And the feathers at the base of the tail or shield are 19 strands and around the neck are 45 strands. So that all the number of feathers in each part symbolizes the date of independence of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI) which is on August 17, 1945.

SYMBOLIC JOURNEY OF OUR COUNTRY STORY TELLING THAT YOU GUYS MIGHT NOT GET AS TOO MUCH GOING ON IN THE VIDEO
1. The symbol appears often in the video is "Surya Majapahit/The Sun of Majapahit" the symbol of Majapahit Empire, an ancient empire that rules almost all of the nusantara land "Indonesian archipelago, Sabah & Sarawak of Malaysia, Tumasik (now Singapore), and many more.
2. "Carved in a stone to eternity" taken from the story that in ancient times, it was written on a stone that still exists today that the general of Majapahit, Gajah Mada, that he would unite all the kingdoms in the archipelago and make them eternity. "where everything in it lived peacefully" founded in an ancient text written by Mpu Tantular in the Book of Sutasoma that describes the Majapahit empire.
3. Novia as the princess of the jungle represent Tribuana Tungga Dewi as the crowned princess of majapahit. She is a women that later brings Majapahit to glory.
4. Two headed dragon represent the Dutch and Japanese that later come to the land of Nusantara (Indonesian archipelago) by the mission of Gold, Glory, and Gospel. They came to trade spices but later they started to colinized us by taking control of military, economics, and politics in our land.
5. The Dragon from the first Wonderland Indonesia is maybe the same as the Blue Dragon in the 2nd Wonderland Indonesia. The dragon represents the guardian of the land. The Red Dragon or Fire Dragon called Banaspati, bad flaming creature that likes to kill people in ancient Indonesian beliefs.
6. The lost of the Blue Dragon represent the collapse of Majapahit empire that later will be followed by the arrival of the Dutch and later the Japanese taking control of our land. Many natives Indonesian suffering because the colinizer's rule. Many workers are not being paid, they make a social differences that make the natives more disadvantaged than the Dutch. Then later a lot of resistance from Indonesian peoples and other ethnic groups (such as Chinese, Arabs, Indians) who had long lived in the archipelago to the Dutch and Japanese governments which claimed many lives.
7. The moment of silence to remember the heroes who fight for our country's independence and defend our nation wich maybe died in a young age with Shanna Shannon singing "Mengheningkan Cipta Song"
8. Alffy Rev fighting the Red Dragon with 5 "Trisula" an ancient spear with three spearhead. why 5? because it represent "Pancasila", 5 point of our nation's ideology. Here, we won because in Pancasila, we know that it is important to being united no matter what is your skin color, religion, ethnics, or tribes.
9. Garuda Bird, the symbol of our country, the bird who is always with Vishnu the God in Hinduism. Garuda hold our national motto "Bhineka Tunggal Ika" which means unity in diversity as Indonesia is very various and diverse. Garuda shows up to replace the Naga Jawa or the Blue Dragon as the guardian of Majapahit Empire which has already collapsed, the raise of Garuda Bird means now Indonesia has won the battle againts the colonizer.

This video was made to commemorate Indonesia's 77th Independence Day on August 17th. The story in the video is taken from the history of the Majapahit Kingdom in Indonesia whose king was a woman named Tri Bhuana Tungga Dewi who ruled from 1328-1351 until an era of destruction called the Paregreg war occurred. The green symbol in the video is called Dewata Nawa Sangha or Surya Majapahit, the symbol of the Majapahit kingdom and the meaning is nine rulers in all directions in the concept of Hindu Dharma in Bali. The nine rulers are Lord Shiva who is surrounded by his eight aspects. considering majapahit is a hindu kingdom. all the characters in the story are taken from Balinese and Javanese mythology such as the red dragon. batik snake, flying komodo. Rangda. all have meaning and philosophy. and the cute little bird animation does exist in Indonesia. it is the inspiration of JALAK BALI Birds. and the great bird Eagle (Garuda ) is a symbol of our country which also means freedom.
the singer sing tradisional songs and also wear traditional clothes from various tribes in Indonesia. considering Indonesia is rich in culture with 718 regional languages. and 1340 tribes.

The name "NUSANTARA" noo sun tar uh (Nusa Antara = Islands in between) that become INDONESIA (we still use Nusantara though).
*The scene of FIRES constitute as Indonesian War against Dutch & Japanese colonialism take over (where d Dutch was take over Indonesia for 350 years & Japan took over Indonesia for 3.5 years but most painful). Indonesian defeat d Dutch and Japan by itself without any help from other country.
Even after we defeat them, there’s still a final trying of d Dutch to re-enter Indonesia, helped by US & British military, to enter fight again. BUT Indonesian people keep fighting back fiercely.
**The scene of TRIDENT constitute as sharpened POINTED BAMBOOS weapon used by d Indonesian people to finally wins its INDEPENDENCE over d colonizers - Sharpened Pointed Bamboos against modern weapons because Indonesian has almost no weapon left!!! And proclaimed independence on August 17, 1945.
