- Istanbul International Airport opened up last year, and with that Turkish Airlines has a new home. This is also by far their largest hub, and so too the home of their flagship lounges. That's right, there are two lounges, which have different entry requirements despite being nearly identical on the inside. In this video, I take you through a detailed tour of everything there is to eat, play with and sleep on in this very impressive space.

I am from the U.S. and when you were giving the size of something and the quote was " those of you from the U.S. It's the size of three AR rifle barrels " one of the best lines ever you had me. you don't over due it you just slide them in as your honest option of the feature you are doing at the time. Loved the video, but here’s the update: the carbon copy is closed. So now there is only one lounge. It is crowded (5 pm on a Tuesday). I don’t see an art museum. The library only has electronic access to materials. No golfing. The slot cars are down for social distancing. The shower was good, but all of the nap rooms were taken. Great idea. Fail on execution. And I really enjoyed your video. Thanks for sharing.

love that place, no problem spending 13 hrs for my layover: ate a crap ton, drank, took a cat nap, showered, ate again, then watched a movie on my laptop.
The turkish pies are fawkin crack! I had connecting flights from the old Istanbul airport back in 2018, before the new one opened, and used the lounge there. When I tell you, my then gf(now wife) or myself went back like every 15 minutes for those pies, I'm not kidding. Those things are so good.

I would just go for longest layover possible if I had access to lounge like this :D I mean it's basically party of free food and alcohol :D Good way to recoup expensive business tickets :D

I want to fly first class just to visit this lounge.
I think the business class is enough to access to the lounge. The price different is huge between these 2 class.
TK has no first-class. So dont even bother spending triple on FC, business is enough to access the lounge.

Thanks for an interesting and entertaining video! I have a long stopover at IST a week from now. Really looking forward to visiting IST and the M&S Lounge. Unfortunately only 3-4 hr flights, so had to book with the airside Yotel.
In Jan 2020, i stayed in the business lounge for more than 24 hours. believe me , you don't want that experience! Staying for 2 hours though would be delightful.
Doesn't seam to bad? You could sleep in one of those "hotel rooms' they offer, watch movies, play golf, read books, play video games, watch TV, shower, eat , drink, and chill. Not too bad way of spending 24 hours.
5:43 I noticed something missing ... Ice Machine, those water & beverages are not cold due high demand.
IGA Lounge (credit card or fee) the only source for ice was the bar, and the lady refused to give me cup saying she doesn't have enough for people consuming alcohol (she had a big ice machine behind the counter) strange not give me some ice in a cup !!!
IGA Lounge, have 2 free smaller showers with some amenities but not the bathrobe, and smaller 1 cooking area.

Hi, I have a 9.5 hrs layover at Istanbul airport. I have a priority pass with unlimited free visits. I understand the Priority pass allows only 3 hours max stay at IGA. Can I swipe my card again after 3 hours and use it? I want to stay there for atleast 8 hours. Also pls let me know if there are any other lounges in Istanbul airport accepting Priority Pass. Appreciate your help. Thanks and Cheers.
These lounges are usually extremely crowded, a lots of people with layovers who occupy two sofas with bags to sleep and whatnot. Otherwise, it's very handy. Sometimes staff is a bit slow to clean but generally good.

Beautiful Review as always ! I have twice been the victim of TK's "Forbidden Photography" policy which appears to be made up on the spot by select staff who feel they are above the CEO ! Nowhere on Turkish Airlines' website and Inflight Magazine "SkyLife" is this "Forbidden" policy mentioned. Looking at how big Turkish Airlines are on Social Media and Advertising,surely they should have a policy ? Imagine telling a Business Class passenger not to film or photograph experiences which will only inspire and encourage revenue ! Glad the Business Class lounge was more friendly.
You are right, there is no forbidden policy, unless if you are officially from press. Just tell them you are doing it for social media and you will be fine. And as you said, some morons thinking they are above ceo and dont even properly understand english, those are the ones that needs to be kicked out.
