Indian cricket fans (not chamchas of certain players care less about such random things) SM is filled with faceless trolls, who has the time to care about them, certainly not Sunil Gavaskar.
As far as this issue is concerned - I saw that Gavaskar clip he was more brutal on the broadcasters for unnecessary fanning the fire.
Obviously, players get criticized for bad performances, so was Virat. #RCB was lucky to have won that match.
Virat played similar inning in WC22 Semi's, India lost that match. He still gets criticized for that as he's still praised for his inning vs PAK in Melbourne.
If #Virat verbally replies to his critics after every good knock than, he must be ready to get criticized after every bad performance. Generally players don't waste their energies on such things but Virat does. That also is his choice.
