Wow!! What an absolute blessing Bruce and no upcharge on top of it. What a victory, and a 7 point swing in your favor - congratulations! That is one of the coolest PSA wins I've ever seen...
Great Mickey Mantle 1966 Topps PSA6! The Paul Hornung 1961 Topps card would be worth trying again! Or you could try one of the other card services like Beckett or SGC! Good luck!⚾
Nice Mick! Definitely the right move letting a card in a screwdown air out. Tougher to do this time of year with humidity levels so low, unless you have a whole house humidifier. On the Hornung... measure it yourself. If it's close to correct, resubmit it. One, PSA doesn't charge for those MinSizReq cards,. so there is little risk. If it teeters on their parameters for size, it may pass thru another time. I've re-subbed 2 like that. One got a grade the 2nd time, one came back the same. Hopefully, your buddy subbing them for you doesn't charge you, as PSA doesn't charge them. No downside to trying again, but do measure it yourself first. Stay warm!
Awesome video! Too bad that Horning was rejected because it looked really good! That Mantle looks great- why in the world did you think it would only get an authentic? Congrats on that awesome card! Thanks for sharing and Good Collecting 👍❤️
WOW!!!! What a great surprise with that Mantle!!! I’m curious as to why you thought it would only get an Authentic? Thanks for the video and thanks for sharing!
@@MrJmanginiWow! Screwdowns were becoming the big thing around the time of the Rosen find. I guess I never put 2&2 together. I was able to watch Mr Mint closely at the National in 1995. When he was given a set in a binder he would open it up and then take his thumb and count up the pages from the bottom then open it and there would be the Mantle. Probably alot of people could do that but I thought it was cool.
What a great surprise, Bruce. A nice way to start the new year. A keeper for your collection, for sure. Congratulations!
Thank you!
Beautiful card! Congrats! Screw downs scare me, too!
Mr. President Mangini commented that the 12 million dollar ‘52 Mantle was in a screwdown for 30 years. Thanks for watching!
Beautiful Mantle!!! Congrats on the grade!!! Thank you for sharing!

I may try the Hornung with SGC. My buddy paid me back in 2 dollar bills which I love and hand out in change at shows.

I thought the Mantle would get an A because it was in a screwdown for years.

@@JayAvgVintageCollector It was in a screwdown holder for quite some time and thats where my concern came from.

The Mantle that sold for 12.5 million was in a screw down for 30 years.
