I researched this car to death and got it 2 months ago. It has exceeded my expectations. I love it. Ironically I got the exact car in the video. All wheel drive, (I live in Chicago and is excellent in the snow) I’m getting 22 mpg, and it’s 0 to 60 in 5 sec. It checks all the boxes. So much fun to drive.
If you care about being able to update idrive8 to idrive8.5 make sure your car has a very specific piece of hardware included in the config. Without it, you're stuck with idrive8
I also have a 2022 blacked out 430 i. If you ever upgrade to the M4, please let me know how big of a difference it is! I just feel like the 430i doesn’t have as much power as I want.
Over all I like it. The front end has grown on me. Two things I don't like ... 1. the large combined gauge/infortantment screen. 2. the gear selector stalk being replaced with a toggle switch. Having the selector stalk gave the sense of a manual.
I agree, I’m not a big fan of the rocker either, the screens fit fine but it would be nice to have a change instead of every model getting the same parts 👍
thank you for such amazing review! good job! i have question, how is the rear wheel drive on rain, its not to ''hard to drive''? it looks pretty comfy and good to ride even tho its rear wheel, '+ it looks fun and sporty when you push on it
It handles fine just don’t floor it off the start and it will stay on the road without sliding. Going with Perelli tires or Michelin cup sport they both work well and it is a fun vehicle when you warm up the tires with some twisty roads 👍
@@MoodAndVibes01 I strongly suggest test-driving a 430 or 440 with the self-drive options. BMW's implementation is very, very. primitive, and I'm pretty sure its capability is tied to the idrive8. The 4 seriers, at least as of now, 8/13/23 can't be upgraded to idrave8+. The self-driving bit is simply not worth the $1,700 that BMW is getting for it. Hands on the wheel every 10 seconds, "Hands off" driving is limited to stop and go traffic and speeds up to 40. It's absolutely horrible. It ping-pongs off of solid lines. I'm sure if a copy was behind me they'd pull me over becauseit it appeared that I was driving while indoxicated. have a 2024 m440i GC, so I'm not lying. I think it's probably where Tesla was 6 or 7 years ago. Drive before you buy!
I can’t with this. The grille looks awful and the interior is now all tech. Looks like an iPad on wheels now. I want analog gauges and a real cockpit back.
@@HawkeyeRidesoh I know. But it’s just not a real car to me anymore. Most of them aren’t. I actually chose the Lexus RC 350 over this last year when I was buying because that car still maintains a sense of traditionalism. And it also just looks so much nicer than this from bumper to bumper, and in the interior. There was no comparison.

Congratulations and thanks for your owner’s insight 👍
I love this car, I got a 2022 BMW 430I with the M sport package, it was my introduction to BMW. I will be upgrading to an M4 Competition soon!
🎉 I am looking for an 4m comp too 👍

Why M4 rather than the 2024 versión?
Could you give me a review of your 2022 to date? Please. Specially Cons

So sad the coupe doesn’t have the hatchback design like the GP.
That would be awesome
idrive8 without a specific chip will not allow idrive8 to be upgraded to idrve8+.
Thanks for your insight 👍
Big screen is buzzkill
It does change the appearance to a tech style instead of performance for the dashboard 👍
@@HawkeyeRides you are an awesome car reviewer btw
@@juggman604 thank you I appreciate that

The GC is awesome 👍
the dash board seems like an afterthought. the shift gear knob is ugly and reduces the sportiness of this car. it seems like a self driving vessel
It’s not everyone fav 👍

This is the way the auto industry is going, it’s not for everyone but I agree it is going more like a large tv or iPad 👍
