Arc 1 had the best story for sure. Arc 2 just seemed a bit convoluted. But the arc 2 worlds are beautiful and extremely rewarding to go through (if you can get through the difficulties haha)
I didn’t even think of that; Shadow magic is just moon magic but a mix of death magic (since you can hurt yourself in the process). Man, I played without thought.
One thing I didn't like about Arc 2 was the timeline of it all. So Morganthe attacks both Celestia AND Zafaria in their distant pasts, yet in Avalon we learn that she was once Ambrose's student and later a student at Ravenwood. So how in the world did this teen attack TWO civilizations years upon years ago? I feel like the writers just fumbled the ball when it came to her.
@@ΑΡΙΣΤΟΤΕΛΗΣΛΑΧΑΝΟΠΟΥΛΟΣ That just can't work given that trade between worlds exist. Imagine trying to see something to someone in Avalon, you wait a few days, and suddenly, you're selling it to their grandchildren.
I have a short, dumb conspiracy that'd fill in that contradictory plot hole: She used that one timetravel stone from Dragonspyre as an adult to rain hell on those worlds. She didn't return to Wizard City with it so as not to disrupt her own timeline leading up to that.
Love these videos!!! As someone who started playing years ago and is now just skipping all dialogues to get through, this was really helpful! Honestly feel like arc 1 had a better flow between the worlds and the story itself, which does make sense considering the game was originally just going to end in Dragonspyre. The arcs after have very beautiful worlds tho, and the designs overall are pretty amazing! Thanks again for making these videos, was really nice to remember the great storyline of this game! :)
Honestly I was so disappointed with how convulated and pointless a lot of the story in Khrysalis feels cause it's world truly looks beautiful and the soundtrack is top tier
Shadow magic is absolutely not a variation of Moon magic. The cause does not equal the consequence here, meaning that just because it is the Moon Tower we are first introduced to Shadow through, does not mean it is correlated to it. This is proven by several factors: 1) The Moon Tower's quest's dialogue describes the tower as having been corrupted by Shadow magic because of Morganthe. 2) The Solar Arc also suffers the same fate as the Moon Tower, having Shadow ingrained within its foundations irrepricably because of Morganthe. So there's a contradiction: is Shadow a variation of the Sun school now? 3) Shadow magic is described as a reality-bending force by KI's description of it on the official webpage, hinting that it shares a similar position to Balance, in regards to their abstraction in comparison to the other, more well-defined schools of magic. This distinction is important because these other schools of magic belong to the Light, associated by Grandmother Raven. Balance is somewhat more alienated by the triangle of magic throughout the Spiral, and there isn't even a definite school of magic for Balance in Ravenwood. 4) Because of (3), Shadow resists all the schools of magic but Balance, from which it is actually boosted. This shows they are opposite forces. Where Balance lies in the center of all schools of magic as an amalgam of them all in equilibrium, Shadow resides everywhere else as a necessary component and concomitant to all magic. 5) Balance is represented by Bartelby, which is proven during the Scion quest when the door is opened after presenting the springleaves of the other School trees. As the door opens, there is a greater emphasis on the school of Balance as a symbol of Bartelby, who holds the Spiral together in harmony. The Chaos Heart then is, of course, the Shadow compenent represented by Grandfather Spider, who provides the Spiral with the essence of magic, which Raven shapes into Order. All in all, Shadow is akin to what we ourselves call Dark Matter/Energy in Physics. These are mysterious forms of substance that are extremely important to the galaxies' ability to stay together, not unlike the emphasis of the Chaos Heart's necessity to the existence of the Spiral.
i wish we would get a new wizard101 and i don't mean to sound annoying but I've been playing for 10 years now and I'd love if wizard would get a engine update and a world make over but that's just me i believe since I got more hate then support for the idea lol
Insterestimg idea. I would love to see krok to celestia get a graphics update like wizard city they feel very dated nowadays. Any major systems changes do take a lot of time and would impact other updates in the mean time. But I can see where you are coming from.
I don't see the importance of Zafaria in arc 2. However i really loved azteca story wise. It was really cool to see the way that world ended, although sad
I don't think there is a world as boring as Azteca. It has much less quests than Khrysalis, but to be honest, I don't remember ever getting bored while doing quests in Khrysalis.
as somebody who spams “spacebar” on arc 2 cause i’m not trying to stay in arc 2 till i’m 87, i appreciate this so much to understand the story lol
It’s ok to spam space bar in arc 2 the worst story of them all imo
@@TheCraftBox it’s a shame cause morganthe’s a BADDIE
😂😂 I feel she was very poorly written and there are parts of the 2nd arc that are just there for filler rather than story
At that point, I think it was more of gameplay than story.
Celestia was my least favorite location

Completely agree arc 2 was very convoluted and a few worlds didn’t really progress the plot in a meaningful way making it drag.
@@TheCraftBoxit’s even worse considering ur rocking the exact same gear throughout all of it 😂😂

Azteca is where the whole Wizard101 story takes a much darker turn.
not really lol, it starts off pretty dark even at Krokotopia
Celestia doesn't focus on morganth its true but it's story is so important for the lore of the world
This is so neatly laid out! As an avid side-quester, I often lose the plot while playing, so thank you for this!
You’re welcome thanks for the nice words!!

The whole Morganthe story is a bit confusing and convoluted
Tbf it's shown that ambrose is reaaaaally old
There's an incredibly easy answer for that.
Time works differently in each world.

Thank you for doing this!! Playing again now after 3 years and 5 before that.
You’re welcome! Welcome back!!
This is epic I love this please do all of them!
Thanks! Most of the worlds have been done!

Nice on Arc 1 and 2. Arc 3 coming our way.
We are taking a bit of a detour before we do arc 3 😁

Understandable have a nice day.
Thanks for this video as well. I stopped playing during arc 1 so it’s fun to see the story after ❤️❤️
I’m glad you enjoyed both! The story is really good and it was great going through it and condensing it so people could understand it easily.
