  • Adam Frost continues to develop his new woodland border, ably assisted by Ash the cat. He also gets to work on his veg plot and has a few tips on how to get the best out of our native bluebell.
Frances Tophill travels to Buckinghamshire to explore a beautiful garden appropriately called Wind in the Willows. And Rekha Mistry prepares for the season ahead in the Peak District.
There's a champion grower in Manchester whose life is dominated by daffodils. Plus a couple who have created their own slice of paradise on a balcony in north London, which they plan to showcase at this year’s RHS Chelsea Flower Show.

Gardeners World has been my favourite programme for many years, but as I no longer have a television, I am absolutely delighted that you post this on UA-cam and I’m able to enjoy it once again but on my iPad.

Man needed to butt together the sections of turf, not leave spaces between them. Interesting how people decry lawns as guzzling water and being bad for the environment. So it seems it's now: native grasses and flowers are virtuous; grass lawn is bad; astroturf is evil.

I love this programme, but I have to admit I’ve skipped through this episode and now I see Monty’s not the presenter I won’t watch it. Adams cockney accent really grates on me. Monty’s the best, his calming voice is so nice.

Adam Frost's cat Ash is capital-A Adorable in this episode! My own long-haired desk supervisor would probably love a garden stroll, but we have raccoons here in the Pacific NW, and she's not the brightest front porch light on the block -- she stays inside to study the herbaceous perennials I'm planting next weekend. And her ornithology...

Lovely. Thank you so much for making this viewable in the US. I fell in love with gardening while living in Europe and now I’ve spent the last 4 yrs trying to figure out how to adapt what I love and have learned in the Northern Alabama climate and soil conditions.

@@aina2165she is famous for growing the ingredients she uses in her amazing cooking … I think I remember her sending in a gardener-viewer’s video to Gardener’s World & she was so popular that she has made it as a regular presenter. She’s really lovely, explains everything really clearly & makes you feel like you can do anything. She’s also a blogger & I think she writes, too 🩷

Thank you for posting. The Wind in the Willows garden is, I think, my favourite of all. It was everything I would want in a garden (but will never have) and almost reduced me to tears because it is so beautiful. It's not like, but it reminds me of, the "No Time To Stand and Stare" garden from Chelsea Flower Show some years ago (back in the Alan Titchmarsh days), which was a favourite for many years. The Cornish farmyard garden a fortnight ago, and Adam Clayton's garden, were also stunning and I didn't think I'd see much better, but this one topped them both.

Its hard to do the show from your own garden every week. Its demanding, and there may not always be stuff to show or to talk about, continuously. So its good that they share the presenting. I like Adam. I like Frances (Tophill) too, haven't seen her yet this season. .... Be a bit more understanding 🙂

37:00, that man calling that stream a 'river.' From an American perspective, it's risible when British people tell you to look for a river and you keep seeing nothing but streams and never come to anything like what you think of a river. Same for 'mountains' that are more like hills. It's all down to perspective. Beautiful garden, no matter what you call the flowing water.
