    I stepped into this whole "Bell Witch" thing while listening to Mercyful Fate, I find it fascinating and really strange. I have experienced poltergeist attacks since I was 10 years old or so and I really found it scary but I got used to it... Now, about a year ago that just stopped. I am 21.
    Keep up the good work. Greetings from Costa Rica.

    Mary Worth is a comic strip character. I believe you're thinking of Elizabeth Bathory and she was a Hungarian queen. And she wasn't ugly... she was just showing signs of aging and after accidentally getting some of a maids blood on her became convinced it had made her skin look paler and younger.

    Yeah on the cat... Hey, I was going to wrtite a screenplay based on the Bell Witch Story - then they came out with "American Haunting" which was just total BS - it angered me. Besides - the movie was so not scary - if they just stuck with the actual story it would be very frightening. I thnink I'll write the screenplay and I'll stick to the actual story.

    BlackCatMambo died last week. After her last video 3 years ago, she became delusional and lost her sense of taste according to her. 18 months ago, she the started to see yellow mist floating around. 2 days after she saw the yellow mist, she screamed for 15 minutes but then stopped. After that she returned back to being delusional and what not. The causes of death were unknown.

    Why is it that Hollywood takes a true story and turns it into a reel of crap? Can't they stay focused on the facts? Why do they have to twist the story into something that seems really made for "pop culture". If you're going to make a movie based on a true story, do the "true story", not YOUR interpretation of the story. This was the problem I had with another film called "Haunting in Connecticut". I walked out on that show. Total waste of money. Do it right!!!!!!!!!

    I once knew a girl from a small town in middle TN with the last name Bell who claimed to be related. A stunning beauty she was. I wonder if the remote ancestors were just as attractive. Growing up and living in middle TN myself, this story terrified me in many ways, but I suspect whatever really happened grew in the retelling. There was a small red bound book in the 60s that seemed to blow it all out of proportion. I think the weird animal sighting stories came from that book.

    I have a book about "The Bell Witch".
    Your version is mostly accurate.
    However, in my book, it said the "witch" was the ghost of a wronged woman named Kate Batts. (Or Katherine Batts.) The patriach of the family apparently betrayed Kate right before her death so she swore vengeance before she passed away.

    I have seen that house you have pictured in the start of your video. I photografted it about seven years ago. While making a delivery at a Carter Lumber yard in Ohio ( dont remember what city), I noticed the house. When I saw the house it no longer had a porch. Later on, after having the film developed my family and I were surprised to see a woman and other faces in the windows of the house. If I can, I'll try and locate the photo and post it.

    Creepy story. I have heard this since I was a boy. My mothers side of the family last name was ''Belle''. They came from Roberson County Tenn. I can tell you the story as I learned it through Moms family. Mom always said the story has been retold so many times that the version you hear now is just not true at all...(her words). Dont believe everything you hear.I am related to that family and its not all true.

    I don't actually believe in ghosts or polterguists, yet I live not to far from the old Bell farm and cave area. From what I've heard in stories, read in history papers and archives, I do have to draw a couple possibilities, it is possible for a spirit of some kind to manifest and haunt a family, it is also possible that the spirit was an old indian or runaway slave that used the cave as a home and scare people away but by the timeline the spirit should return between 2017-2048 if it is real

  • @roakamun
    @roakamun 14 років тому

    @roakamun I also heard that the true Bell House is private and not open for public tours and is now owned by the Indian Tribe that the grave site belonged to originally , but that's just hearsay on my part. I can tell you that the house itself is dilapidated and almost falling in. The well is uncovered and the entire property looks like it has never seen a lawnmower or a bush hog. The one that allows tours on the property is close, but not the original.

  • @roakamun
    @roakamun 14 років тому

    I used to live in Clarksville, TN, not too far away. I heard the story when I was young but the version I heard had something to do with John Bell clearing some land and either covered up or cleared away an Indian burial site, I think. But I do remember it having to do with Indian spirits and local living Indians that were unhappy about it.
    Some friends and I went to the farm in the early 90's, I was in my 20's then. Nothing remarkable I can remember.

    my f across from me heard them too, but says they would be only animals, it's likly she says since its the forest, well, we also noticed a strange light above the trees not that far a distance as stars but far enough above the treeline every night and moves sde to side and arnd mre then a str, it's been ther for mre thn 2 wks now and very bright. i just don't understand why i have that natural connection to things like this and have been this way for many years, its creepy and strange. yes, that was a wolf like animal that he seen, it was dark grey, heavily built heavier then a wolf, not as big or bulky or hefty as a bear, more like a husky powerful hunched shoulders, no visible head, and arched back, with long coarse fur, no visible tail. there were four in total, one further away, 3 2gethr, and very fast, back legs smlr, used front mr

    yea, i think its even creepier that two people i am very close to has also heard them and i live very close to a wooded area thats very dark , they've also seen a dark shadow, one even said not to creep me out but they seen a grim reapper facing him towords the house, i mean theres other houses that also face that park, creepy n strange. i also hear strange noises coming from there at night or during the day, no nothing animal like.

    I did read the bell witch book some 22yrs ago. the book was loned from the local library in the real town it was tattered, held together by rubber bands but an original copy. I hated the movie. the witch stayed with the family until the young girl died. kinda just faded over the years. the witch would let some people touch it and could bring fresh fruit if requested it would appear form thin air and drop into their hand. it was one of the most witnessed & documented hauntings of its time.

    actualy i stand corrected . I should not have said a Djinn. Djinn is sometimes used to foten too genericaly
    It is not from an Islamic point of view, she is a dhaar, in other words an evil demon or ntity if you like. This is to do with old ancient knowledge and magic........ mainly black magic. knowledge of which has been lost over the centuries.
    This Entity is still around waiting, waiting to make its presence felt again. :)

    For those of you who are unfamiliar with the Bell Witch legend, the only real and historical source for all information on the story comes from the original novel published by a newspaper publisher from Clarksville, Tennessee, Martin Van Buren Ingram in 1894. This is the only known source for all of the other stories or folktales involving the Bell family of Red River (now known as Adams, Tennessee). The novel, is called "The Authenticated History of the Bell Witch".
