We live in society where oversharing your business is normal. If you not telling everything people assume you don't have a life or are a loser. But keep your peace and stay low-key.

They can think and believe whatever they want… if they ain’t got nothing to help benefit my life or don’t have an interest in what I can offer to help benefit them, they opinions don’t matter at all. They think they know what they talking abt, but be so ignorant and I just laugh at the foolishness.

OMG I hate when they do this! It is so maddening. They are so bound and determined to get the “tea” on someone, that they will try to befriend friends and relatives, using them in the process. They are very sick, empty, and miserable people, who become obsessed with you when they can’t get any info on you. I am known as the “private” one of the bunch, and plan on keeping it that way. One of my friends will purposely tell people fake information, for example, that he and his gf are having problems, just to see how many people find out from that one person he told. I find that hilarious.
This is funny.
Seems like they want people to care, or they just wanna know what everyone would think. There’s a lot of different reasons they do it for. For publicity. For clout. For attention. For sympathy. And whatever else, my top guesses. Cause if you’re not having problems then why say you have problems? There’s only a few possible and legitimate reasons. Some parents say oh my kids sick, just as a topic of discussion. Lol. And the kid is not even sick. Only some. They be bragging and bragging then they run out of stuff to brag about and then you get the “little stories.”
I had to tell my nosy sister to keep her nose out my relationship because she's jealous and can't deal with the fact that am happy and also because am having another baby and my life is growing and hers isn't. She's insecure and envious and jealous. I keep her out and love her from a distance. She'll call not to check on how am doing but she'll call to want some information to go gossip with people. Like they say actions speak louder than words.

If you're not in my situation since you still have your privacy, yes keep certain things to yourself. Your sister doesn't have to know everything.

Combine it with a heart full of division, anger, resentments, negative emotion of any kind words cast intentions. "Spelling" our words are literally powerful enough to condemn someone or promote someone. Therfore, pay close attention to gossips and how they intentionally influence the listener....they are casting spells.

It depends on how likeable you are as a person to them or if you pissed them off yet or not. I've seen situations plenty of times where folks will tell lies and spread rumors on people they don't like that are low-key to come up with a solution for why they don't know what that person did wrong

My family isn’t really too nosey but I don’t tell them everything. The person who is really nosey is my pops wife. She’ll tell us other people’s business then ask us what’s going on with us. This broad asked my niece to send her a picture of her and her boyfriend to her just so she can show and tell people. Best advice is to stay low key so nobody can come after you

I’ve constantly practicing being low key. I go on social media in moderation and post silly memes and food lol. I don’t vent about things going on in my life and keep it to myself. I see some people doing the most on Instagram doing these PSA announcements about how they need friends, how men ain’t shit, how they make their coffee (yes someone I watched had the longest ass video on how they make their coffee 😅) I’m like what is the point of this? Lol. Especially people who flaunt their relationships too. Those who personally know me know I’m dating and I don’t flaunt him online. I used to do that years ago in past relationships but I’ve matured.

Good advice as always Tyler! I always try to be low key, it doesn't always work. I got a birthday present for a friend. We hadn't seen each other since the pandemic started and I thought my present was nothing fancy though it had some meaning. My friend showed it off on social media and tagged me. I don't post pics of myself beyond my profile pic, and there I was getting tagged on someone else's account. I was mortified! My friend has 1000s of followers and I have less than 100. Thinking back, I could not be honest enough about not wanting our photos posted. I'm aware that they were thankful but there are a lot of jealous people around and I got messages from others I barely know, making comments about expecting birthday presents from me and stuff like that. I didn't like it! And here I am trying to be low key again. Good luck to us all!

Or ..just ruin the game for them entirely. Make it clear you want NOTHING to do with them. Consistently stay away from them and anyone connected to them. If they keep bothering you .that's harassment, now it's time for you to mark these bastards for life... Legally. The paper trail should have been started, get the proof and go to court- it a warning if they go anywhere in the country. I try to make it worth it to leave me alone. I just want my peace, even if it means leaving them in pieces. I refuse to have my safety and security tampered with.

Since I saw your video on how to be a low key person, I have started to put this in to practice, and it is annoying the Hell out of my nosey neighbour, and I love it ! , she comes out of her door every time she hears someone come to my door to see who I have visiting, I used to message her and she would only message back when she wanted something, now I have turned the tables, I don’t message her , so she actually messaged me and I ignored it as I know she’s after pumping for information and when I had visitors I met them at the car park and we went strait a out so she couldn’t see, now she is totally confused, I love this low key style Tyler
Why not relocate to a different state or areas city … you got to learn how to stay to yourself in most cases

Sometimes you can make it into a fun game. Just give them vague information, like what kind of food you made or want to make later. The more they pry for information, just be even more vague, but also be overly enthusiastic about it. I have made people do that silly, weak little laugh out of frustration, then I'll get even more vague and more enthusiastic about it. They can't say you're being defensive, negative, or anything. They'll just turn into a smartass the more frustrated they get and it's cute. Or you could just do what I do and keep the phone on Do Not Disturb 24/7. If I needed to talk, I would have called you first......LOL
