I personally carry a G43 when I run. I carry it in a simple belly band that I wear around my hips. Works great and doesn't cause any discomfort when running.
I don't know if you are wanting a mag fed semi auto only, but I think the Ruger LCR would be a good option. It is available in multiple calibers, and is super light and concealable! I also think the glock 42/43 could work well!
I love the Sig P238 for a ton of reasons. both me and the girlfriend shot well with it. Great trigger in a 380 market flooded with garbage triggers. Nice size.. but the one thing that was a complete no go for MY girlfriend in particular was that it had a hammer. Not sure exactly why, but I think it just seemed "less safe" in her eyes for every day carry, but if she could get past that... my favorite 380. Personally I think the G42 and 43 are a tad too big for that scenario. I LOVE them both and will be getting my girl the 43 in a few weeks, but they're at the upper end of this convo size wise IMO. 2nd runner up to the P238 would have to be the LCPII for me. Good luck bud
Dylan Robles Thanks Dylan! she shot that p238 and loved it! it was black pearl with nite sights. trigger is phenomenal!!! It's just something about the 1911 style that girls don't like. I have to agree with them though. first carrying a 1911 I felt uneasy and left chamber empty. I still feel more comfortable carrying a striker fired than a hammer fire. that's just me though. I need more practice with a hammer fired.
JnJ Outdoors I hear ya. I carry an M&P9C and have no fear of carrying it with one in the chamber. The Shield could also be a good option, but I think the .380 gives you a little more flex sizewise. A lot of people swear by the Bodyguard as well, but that's one we never shot. The only problem I have with the .380 market is the lack of striker fired pistols without double action triggers (with exception to the G42 and P238). I wish the 42 was pocket pistol sized!
I'd look for striker fired guns, as small guns like the lcp have a really long trigger pull and people tend to pull down the muzzle of the gun when trying to pull the long trigger.
Walter Warner I checked out that 45. those are nice too! I really like the 42 because of its size and weight. But the 43 is just a smidgen bigger than 42. I have also been directed to some of the ruger, kahr carry guns. any ordinary gun she would pick it out. But I want to surprise her.
LCP sounds like a good option A friend owns one and loves it . Merry Christmas from Va Beach !
Ruger also makes a pepper spray unit with loud alarm and strobe light that is a great addition to edc
Robert Tighe I'm going to check that out Robert, Thanks!
M&p shield 9mm or 380. Haven't shot it but M&p does have a great track record.

Revolver is a option. Or Lcp2.
Robert Tighe we currently have a smith 637 and for some reason she does not like it. she can't even answer why, I love it.

9mm Glock and 500 round of new ammo would be what I recommend
Kimber K6S doesn't seem like a bad idea. It looks nice. Light weight. Hammer-less. 6 shots. Do it.
And can you show how one can effectively conceal carry a G19 bc many people state it is not very concealable.
30 caliber Liberty It's not the most comfortable by no means. I use the blue print IWB and it helps out alot. it's definatly a bulky carry gun.
Winchester va here

That new lcp
M&p Shield 9mm or browning black label. 380
Merry Christmas
Kenneth Burns Thank You! Merry Christmas! I have been looking at the shield and handled one yesterday. a great gun for alot of roles!

sw 642 bc it's lite and better than .380acp.
30 caliber Liberty I have the 637, i will have a look at the 642! thanks for the heads up.
