Abstract acrylicpainting modern portrait - how I handle my painting failure

English below:
Ich bin nicht der Typ dafür, der Sorgen und Ängste oder Unsicherheiten in seinen Bildern verarbeitet. Da halte ich eigentlich gerne nur das Positive fest. ABER in diesen Tagen bin natürlich auch ich nicht frei von Unsicherheit und Verwirrung. Und zum ersten Mal schlich sich das auch in mein Bild. Da lang? Oder da lang? So? Nein doch nicht... Ich war planlos, haltlos! Aber hey, wir sind keine Maschinen und genau DAS ist OKAY. In Bildern werden Gefühle sichtbar. Und wenn dann alles schief geht, dann kann man alles in die Ecke werfen und frustriert sein. Oder aber man geht den Weg einfach mal mit, nutzt die Gelegenheit für neue Wege. Ich bin froh, dass ich nicht aufgegeben habe. WENN ich es aber getan hätte, dann wäre es auch okay gewesen. Übermalen geht ja immer, auch Tage später. Das Bild hier aber sollte wohl so sein.

I'm not the type of person who processes worries and fears or uncertainties in his paintings. Usually I like to capture only the positive. BUT in these days I am of course not free of uncertainty and confusion. And for the first time, this also crept into my painting. That way? Or that way? or better the other one? No, not like that... I had no plan, no stability! But hey, we're not machines and that's OK. In paintings, feelings become visible. And when everything goes wrong, then you can throw everything into the corner and get frustrated. Or you just go along with the way, use the opportunity for new things. I'm glad I didn't give up. But if I had, it would have been also okay. Painting over always works, even days later. But this picture here should probably be like this.

Ich hab das Video gerade erst gesehen und bin total begeistert.
Das Gesicht war so toll und dann , Farbe darüber und ich dachte nein warum ?
Was dann aber entstanden ist hat mich total umgehauen . Für mich ist das ein Gesicht in welche ich oft schauen musste , Kollegen und Kolleginnen vermummt , müde und mit Tränenschleier vor den Augen . Es war eine schwere Zeit bis jetzt und wer hätte das vor zwei Jahren gedacht .
Ich habe angefangen zu malen , es geht mir nicht so locker von der Hand aber es hilft über schwere Dienste hinweg .

This was really beautiful to see - I only wish we could have seen it from the front like you show at the end - it would be so cool to see all the different changes and stages face front. There were several times along the way where I thought you overworked the piece because I loved it at whatever stage and then you painted over and I was like, "NOOOOOOO!" But what I learned from watching this is that you don't ever have to be tied to a look - and even when you paint over something, the bones are there, and you can use them to make something else - build on it. The final picture is really beautiful and haunting - she looks like she's turning into a zombie. I love the effect of the swipes of paint. I wish you would explain what you're using and what you're doing. I'm assuming this is acrylic paint, but it doesn't move like any acrylic paint I have - the black drawing stays visible underneath all the layers - did you set it with something or does that charcoal just not react with paint? Then the paint seemed either semi opaque. Can you say what paint you used? And what did you spray on it - was that just water? I have so many questions. Also, did you let anything dry between layering? This is sped up so we can't really tell what's happening although we see the painting progressing. It's really inspiring - I would love to try this - just don't know what I would be trying cuz I can't tell what you're using. Beautiful! And it's even more intriguing that this was done in March 2020 right as the world was going into lockdown from the Corona Virus! Everyone became a zombie... couldn't go out for fear of catching something or spreading something.

@@zacherfinet i have Skype, but it depends on the Wi-Fi that the connection is good or not, i heard about ZOOM too, they say it's great for group meetings, i installed it, but did'nt used it yet... 😁

I love your painting. You use a spray before painting to fix the drawing. Is it a varnish ?
