At this point, Joshua and Sal just need to work together on a book cause the chemistry these two have the passion they both have for the medium is perfect.
I’m so incredibly hyped for Green Arrow. The Tuesday after it was announced when I picked up my comic books I am mediately put it on my pool list for the whole thing
These are fun, and get a little glimpse behind the curtain from a creator is just darn interesting. Williamson comes off as the most normal, humble creator. It always amazes me how many get egostical or have a skewed sense if importance, dude seems pretty chill.
When Joshua Williamson started talking about how he can just hear the music when thinking of his favorite video game of all time, I thought it has to be A Link to the Past. It’s absolutely my favorite Legend of Zelda game where the music is so iconic and I have that same type of experience.
I'm also a huge Green Arrow fan, I became a fan because of the JLU show, I didn't start reading comics until the New 52, but my first Green Arrow comic that really made me a fan was Green Arrow #17 by Jeff Lemire, now my book shelf is full of every Green Arrow trade I can get my hands on
I've been really, really enjoying these chats with Josh. Also, his Superman #2 today is a really great issue. Very much digging the new Superfamily phase going on right now
Green arrow is one of my top 5 dc heroes and I’m so glad there’s 2 huge fans working on this new book… I hated when they cancelled the rebirth book and have been waiting for a good team to take a new shot at it… this is going to be awesome
Met Josh at a con a few years ago and he is by far the nicest creator I've met. We talked Green Lantern for a few minutes until we remembered the line of people behind me lol.
What Josh was saying about comic stores being sometimes DC, marvel, etc stores really makes me appreciate the shop near my work. They get every new issue from DC, Marvel, and Image every week, while being HUGE on indie comics. Nobody else in the city matches them
There's a difference between having a good creative team for a title and a passion creative team for a title. It's just an added bonus that resonates with the readers
I’ve got a good problem to have guys, a ton of the recent DC announcements sound really cool and I have no idea which I’m gonna decide to spend my money on 🤷🏻♂️
Those FF issues were my intro to Sean Izaakse's work! He was 100% on my short list to draw GA, so im super excited, especially to see the passion Williamson has for the character.
I asked my local comic shop to put all six issues on my standing order. I feel like the DC Universe is just a better place when Green Arrow has his own monthly.
First comic I ever read was Green Arrow Quiver by Kevin Smith and Phil Hester. Lil did I know Kevin Smith would become my nerd hero years later! Loved Green Arrow ever since!
Same. I was just getting into comics at the end of high school, started with quiver and pretty much binge bought and read the entirety of Green Arrow pre-New 52 starting with Quiver. He’s one of my favorites and I’ll never forget that quiver was where it all started for me
My Intro to Green Arrow was Justice League Unlimited. (Technically it was Teen Titans, with the tournament of heroes episode with Speedy), and through that I eventually started with Kevin Smith’s Quiver. I literally bought every issue starting from there to the end before the New 52 started and binge read. I read/loved Williamson’s Robin (it was the only series I looked forward to next to Nightwing at the time) and it was so damn nice see someone remember characters like Connor Hawke and Constantine Drakon. I don’t know what to expect from his run with Green Arrow, but I have faith, if Robin is any indication.
I’ve only read a small amount of Williamsons stuff but what I’ve read has been great and hear he’s an amazing writer. Have read the first two issues of his superman run and already loving it. Can’t wait to pick up Green Arrow!
Josh's Green Lantern fan story reminded me of an old friend. Absolute dyed in the wool Superman fan, even named his kid something Superman related (coincidentally had him around the same time Jon Kent debuted), and you couldn't pay him to read a Superman comic book.
As usual great show, love hearing you guys catch up! I’m extremely looking forward to this new Green Arrow book. Ollie imo has always been extremely underutilized and I’m glad he’ll finally get a chance in the spotlight again.
When are they actually gonna give Josh his title is creative director or CCO at DC? I mean, it would hinder him from writing things himself and doing shows like this. But he deserves *something* for at least trying to make DC cohesive.
His take on Robin is what I wished to happen sooner with Damien
I love the way he talks so passionately about Ollie. So looking forward to this book and also the knight terrors event!

I really loved the Ben Percy DC Rebirth Green Arrow run and I’ve been enjoying everything that he’s been doing so I can’t wait for Josh’s run

The more Joshua Williamson talking comics, the better, just read Superman #2, awesome as always

Good example of how perseverance can lead to you achieving your goals.

Loving that Joshua is a big Bloodline fan. I love see him bring the Bloodline heroes back
Can't wait to read Josh's Green Arrow! Such a good ep!

Everything Joshua is doing with DC right now is a day one buy! I love the way he tells his story's
Oh man awesome came here to catch up and it loaded me another video now I got some great stuff to listen too for a drive today
I’ve got a good problem to have guys, a ton of the recent DC announcements sound really cool and I have no idea which I’m gonna decide to spend my money on 🤷🏻♂️
The best possible dilemma to have
I have a suggestion for a topic.
What Obscure characters you wanna see more in comics? Personally, I would like to see the inferior five
Commenting for the algorithm because this show is great.

I need Josh to keep on with Damian, so much potential in that character.
Or hard select a successor that gets him.
@@SophiaSanders61 this. I don’t want him to start to feel like he’s locked to a character and eventually despise it, like the guy who did Super Sons
"I have to go to the bank today". God I love community. Amazing reference!

Josh has a great beard 👌

Great episode I was looking forward to this one! Josh's superman run is great so far enjoyed #2 very much
These are some of my favorite conversations

Always a joy!
Lovin all stars
Love the show, if you guys ever branch out to other topics we're all for it
Yessss Link To The Past!!!!🥰💯💯♾
You guys need to chat about your love of Bloodlines .....please
I still think Wally was a bit of a jerk during Waid’s run but thank you Williamson for acknowledging he was at one point lol
These are really awesome
It didn't feel like a month passed
Ooh awesome 😎

CANNOT WAIT FOR THIS (just now starting the video). Huge GA fan that dipped during New 52, hoping to return as a paying GA fan next month!
ooo when does this drop on the podcast feed?
There could be a movie in the works 🤫
This time-dilation stuff is an epidemic. I check product expiration dates at my job, and I’m thrown off every day.
"Back in the day Bruce and Alfred"...like this man doesn't know he's gonna find a way to deal with that dumb shit...
Love the show! Need to set up a fund to get Mr williamson a microphone
