The Chinese had sailed the entire west coast of the Americas and the maps shown they had explored great deals. You really think trade didn't happen? Columbus was just the first to suggest enslaving Americans and taking their land for European benefit. Well besides the Vikings minus the slave part.
Even though the Vikings found Canada and the northern America, I'm pretty sure Columbus explored undiscovered territory, so he still discovered things.
@@maximusgennaro5342 He found more than Cuba. He discovered the Caribbean, Central America and South America. And TBH, I disagree with my earlier comment now. He did discover the Americas. While the Vikings may have technically discovered North America, nothing came of it. Its similar to the lightbulb. While technically Edison didn't create the first lightbulb, he headed the project that designed a cheap lightbulb, funded the acquisition of materials, designed the infrastructure to make lightbulbs accessible to the average person and managed many other projects. No one remembers or cares to really credit the other people because their actions had no real effect on the world. Columbus actually started inter-continental trade. He deserves credit for discovering it for himself and the rest of the world. The Vikings, on the other hand, are more of a footnote in this than anything else.
The man was not perfect and he was considered a madman for daring to do that travel, but that man changed the course of human history like nobody else in history.
A few inaccuracies that I remember from history class: Columbus wouldn't care if the natives died due to the fact that he extorted them. Second, I have no idea if Amerigo Vespucci stole his girl or not. P.S., did he just give that girl smallpox with that blanket?!?!
Acually technically speaking Columbus did "discover" America in the sense of the definition being to find and spread information about it first. the Vikings while they did land, live, and settle in America first they never did anything with the information, therefore by the definition of discovery did not discover it.
ACTUALLY. Technically speaking Columbus never discoures America what he found was some islands in the Caribbean’s and coast of central and South America but he never step foot in North America or even believe he himself that he found a new continent.
They weren't part of Christian European culture which is why their discovery isn't counted for us. They didn't discover it for us. They did discover it though in every way. And 5 centuries before lol

My point is, the Chinese and Vikings had a connection far before Columbus did. The Vikings went to literal war with them. How is that not a connection? The Chinese had sailed the entire west coast of the Americas and the maps shown they had explored great deals. You really think trade didn't happen? Columbus was just the first to suggest enslaving Americans and taking their land for European benefit. Well besides the Vikings minus the slave part.
Lol I saw an ad before this that literally had Matt in it! Vidangel

Whoever write for them is very educated.
You should make Cleopatra come back :)
Leaf Ericson discovered America! NORWEGIANS FTW 🇳🇴
TFP_Team Except Leif Eiriksson was Icelandic.
It’s was actually first discovered by Chinese explorers, and they explored America while Columbus explored Central America and the Caribbean
*He stumbled upon it and they left after a few years, never to come back. Not at all as important as what Columbus did.
Stop watching Studio C and get back to your homework!
Omg I was watching this sketch when I was supposed to be doing my homework about Christopher Columbus 😅😂

+jason gray Hi Jason. You're my favourite
Even though the Vikings found Canada and the northern America, I'm pretty sure Columbus explored undiscovered territory, so he still discovered things.
He found what we now call Cuba
OMG THANK YOU STUDIO C FOR MAKING A VIDEO ON MY BIRTHDAY!!!!!
The man was not perfect and he was considered a madman for daring to do that travel, but that man changed the course of human history like nobody else in history.
You clearly don't know the truth about Columbus
A few inaccuracies that I remember from history class: Columbus wouldn't care if the natives died due to the fact that he extorted them. Second, I have no idea if Amerigo Vespucci stole his girl or not.
P.S., did he just give that girl smallpox with that blanket?!?!
+Johnathan T Nah, just the bubonic plague.
Holy crap that blanket joke got me so hard! Lol! 😂
Nobody:
Antonio to Marchello: 2:31
Notice the time machine is called a "iTime"
Something reminded me of this sketch, and I'm so happy I came back to watch it again 😂😂😂
Acually technically speaking Columbus did "discover" America in the sense of the definition being to find and spread information about it first. the Vikings while they did land, live, and settle in America first they never did anything with the information, therefore by the definition of discovery did not discover it.
chase Kruse no if they first find it than they discovered there are many discoveries that have not been shared
You could say the natives were the first due to the possibility of people coming over the now-gone land bridge in the Bering Strait and settling there
ACTUALLY. Technically speaking Columbus never discoures America what he found was some islands in the Caribbean’s and coast of central and South America but he never step foot in North America or even believe he himself that he found a new continent.
The caribbean IS AMERICA.
They weren't part of Christian European culture which is why their discovery isn't counted for us. They didn't discover it for us. They did discover it though in every way. And 5 centuries before lol
.....I get Columbus Day off
So lucky :(
Me too lol...
Yeah me too 😆
Me too
Same. Go Texas!
I love it when Whitney screamed when he threw the blanket HAHAHHA!
MY LIFE MEANS NOTHING NOW THAT I AM NOT THE AH FIRST TO COMMENT
Whoop I had off school :p
I was just taking notes for my AP European history class for homework on Columbus and I was like “I need to watch this sketch!” I’m going to recommend it to my teacher, she’d love it!
I think the teacher is confusing Christopher Columbus with Marco Polo. Columbus is portuguese working for the spanish while Polo is italian
Columbus was Italian, but it is true he worked for Spain
That outro though...
I consider it an essential part of the sketch.
“HAVA SOME BLANKETS KIDS!” That was hilarious
I am impressed that there are like 20 comments in like 2 minutes!!
