Finally some normal analysis on Gobert guarding Jokić. He played the perfect one on one defense against him in game 3 but when Jokić gets cooking no person alive can stop him. Murray had on and off games the entire playoffs, even against the Lakers he was shooting horribly, he just hit those 2 game winners and everything was forgotten about his performance in that series. Gordon and KCP did their part, as well as Braun from the bench. MPJ was nowhere to be seen in the Timberwolves series, and he cooked the Lakers.
joke on the nuggets for losing the second to last regular season game agains San Antonio.. they would have been #1 seed if they won and probably playing Minnesota in the Conference Finals now.. anyway - they desperately need some good transfers at the moment. Jokic cannot do it all himself and Murray is too injury prone to rely on as the number 2. Really hope Jokić's prime (2 or 3 more years) will not go to waste. At least he got a championship already but definitely has much more in the tank, just needs some actually decent and reliable support. Thx for the episode.
Although the East is very weak, I feel like this Celtics team is very well built to defend and score on both remaining western conference teams. Whether it’s the mavs or Timberwolves, thete defense will get tested as the Celtics will be the most talented offensive team from the 1-5 they have faced so far.
On the wolves being made to beat the Nuggets; Tim Connely was the gm the Nuggets got who drafted Jokic and built the entire team up, and left to join the wolves after being promised equity stake in the wolves or money equal to that (hasnt been confirmed afaIk)before the 2022 2023 season, partly because the Nuggets owners didnt wanna pay him enough, and the first big move he did after joining the wolves was trade for gobert (which in 22-23 alot of ppl called one of the worst trades ever) a move he believed gave them the best chance to stop Jokic and the Nuggets So the gm who built the Nuggets went to the wolves, and built the team to stop them, insane gming
