Turn the Red Rocket building into a small rest area/inn for passing travelers and caravans, already have a bar right outside in full view of the window; make the cashier a check in, the garage a locker/workshop room, then add the rental rooms on the roof
I think it would be kind of cool to have mail in fallout 4. Like you would get invitations to join raiders or the minute men. Get death threats, a newspaper from publick occurances. That would be awesome.
@@wickerhazbrownsauce8564 Have you ever rubbed a few brain cells to consider, that FNV takes place in a more organized, stable area that can support mail service and companies...whereas FO4 (and FO3) are both in a hellscape that hasn't recovered to that level? Don't ever quit Fallout 4 until a new and better Fallout game comes out! Fallout 76 in my opinion is a downgrade to the original Fallout series online was a mistake and foundation in order to build anything other than fences was also a mistake. Edit: That goes for everyone including you, cordless, me, and anybody else.
Dude this settlement should be a mod, it's really that good. I've seen plenty of custom settlements turned mod but few actually deserving a place as an individual mod. This is pure gold my man.
This build already looks amazing and there aren’t even any decorations yet! I can’t wait to see the final build. I also love the new look of your game. The world looks gorgeous! Thank you for including the links for those mods. Really looking forward to having them in my game. It’s great to have you back in Fallout 4. We can do so much more here than in 76 and things just haven’t been the same without you. I love watching you utilize your skills and creativity to their full potential.
I understood why fallout 1 and fallout 2 were more wastelandish because the bombs hit close to 70-100 years ago, where as fallout 4 it makes less sense since its been 200 years and I thought that the environment woulda healed by then
Thought I’d watch this again as a kinda nostalgic look back at how awesome you were, what’s left of the FO4 designing community sure miss you my friend, on looking over this again I certainly prefer your other red rocket build at least 92% more
1. Mail center is AWESOME! 2. Red rocket should be the mayors (your) office and make the garage your living space where the register is could be the secretary’s desk then the actual office for the mayor with a waiting area/public works area around the interior of the store
I'm so glad you posted your vids are awesome and I'm glad it's fallout 4 because...yeah.....um We won't talk about that thing that Bethesda has created
3800+ hours and I still thoroughly enjoy building in FO4, thanks to all those great mod authors out there. *Awesome* build Cord, you got me inspired and what better time to do some building than a Sunday evening? ☺️
I love it. Glad you came from from 76. It seems very organic, as though it grew up naturally around the Red Rocket over time. Can't wait to see the decorations.
I love this game it’s taken lists of my time and I’ll never forget it. The game I spent most of my childhood playing was Skyrim and Fallout 4 best games of me lyfe.
The settlement looks very well put together. They always and forever need tweaking, but it keeps me coming back to play it and make them just a little better each time. This is also a shining example of why you don’t want to use mods, especially if you are playing on a console. Many of these don’t work anymore which can potentially ruin a game that you put entirely too much time into. By sticking with a strictly no mods approach my game is still going fairly strong 6 years after release. Red Rocket is where I keep the overwhelming majority of my hoard of ammo, legendary items, level 4 merchants, collected magazines, bobbleheads, settlement building supplies, etc.. The game locks up there very easily now. It is pretty unstable, but still works if I am careful.
I decided to recreate this settlement, but couldn't get the Kuro Tab (console mod limits suck), so I couldn't make it exact. Instead made it my own and made a lot of changes. Mine is unique enough now that I'm proud of it. I still appreciate this video for getting me back into settlement building.
Big changes I made. I made the area in front of the rocket a market, complete with an armorers workshop. Behind the main structure I made a farm and residential area. In the main structure is a small hospital, and on top of it is a rainwater collection station. Additionally, I placed a 3rd entrance under the nuka cola sign, and placed a restaurant to the right of it. Additionally I created a barber out of the dug out building, and a face surgeon in a small shack near the back (kind of tucked away, like he's trying to hide.
Yes! I have waited so long for this from you! ‘Synth’ the master of all fallout 4 building hasn’t uploaded one of these yet I have not have an interest in turning red rocket into a settlement but now I think I’ll give it a go 👱🏻♂️👍🏻
I can see this fitting right into the game as it perfectly captures the Fallout aesthetic. You managed to make a fairly small space feel like it's got a lot going on. Really, really cool and highlights how much of a missed opportunity a lot of the areas in vanilla Fo4 are. If it's possible, I'd love to see the finished product as a mod.
I like your use of the two foliage packs; it makes perfect sense to have the world foliated. There are many things about the default Fallout 4 which just make no sense at all, even in the context of the game itself: - computer terminals being operative in locations without any electricity feed; - the inability to rip old TV sets and radios apart for their myriad of electronic parts and copper wiring; - tables, chairs, washing machines, dryers, stoves etc only coughing up steel and cloth when they would have nails and screws holding them together.....and so on. But the most glaring fault is that, 210 years after the world was devastated by nuclear warfare, the landscape remains a barren wasteland. That is just ridiculous! Nature would have covered the place with greenery several metres deep; after all, Hiroshima and Nagasaki are not barren deserts and the radioactivity released by Chernobyl did nothing to the dense forests surrounding the nuclear power station and nearby Pripyat. So good for you for using the mods and thank you to those who made them. You have done your bit to make Fallout 4 more satisfying to play.
I've never seen this mod before, but it makes the game look 10 times better. It gives it the feel that the planet is starting to "heal" after thousands of years or whatever the lore states since the bombs dropped. My only issue is; my PC is broken and the Xbox Series S don't come out until November and I wanna play Fallout now...LOL

I would have to agree, A townhall/mayors office could be exactly where the office area is in game and a receptionist at the counter. the garage can be a "Police station". and since that you would need a place to put people who "break the rules" until judgement is passed
I think you should have like an Atom Cats power armour store, kind of like an after market greaser store that you see in real life with all the chromed out wheel trims and new tyres on the walls, kind of like that, but with custom power armour pieces and a small 50s style diner for the greasers
I normally don't like the 'green' mods, but this one looks good. You should put numbers on each house, for addresses, like a trailer park now days. I was just thinking the ones from the Marquee, but some could use neon or something to be different I suppose.

Hey, there is a really fantastic mod called Murkwater Bus Wall, it is on Bethesda’s mods, and I think it is well done, I want you to do a settlement build with it next. The same creator also has a similar mod for Star Light Drive In. It has some cool underground bases and a power armor room, with decorations and everything. It would be my dream if you could do a cool “lived in” settlement build with one of the two mods. Pretty please 🙏🏻 🤣
The inside of the red rocket could be the mayors office, and the garage could be an armoury, power armour station(as cliche as it is) or they could be trying to fix a car or something, seeing as it is a small community they would scavenge as a community
This is awesome, the only thing I'd do different would be to build up over the back of the bus to create a second layer of the settlement on the roof of the Red Rocket, maybe a "mayor's office" type building. as for the farming area, I'd make stepped terraces using planter boxes and small stairs connecting them. also I'd put a doctors office towards the back of the Red Rocket, around the office/ behind the counter, with a chem's dealer at the counter, and maybe even a chem lab (how else does a remote settlement survive in this post apocalyptic economy?) in the garage.
Turn the Red Rocket building into a small rest area/inn for passing travelers and caravans, already have a bar right outside in full view of the window; make the cashier a check in, the garage a locker/workshop room, then add the rental rooms on the roof
