Marko and Floor's version is way better plus the video features some wholesome never before seen pics of the band as a blast from the past, the put the video on NW's channel, the version with Tarja and Floor is a bit all over the place, Floor doing her thing and Tarja chasing her around the stage trying to lead her every move

Tarja and Floor did a song live together, "over the hills and far away". It is a cover Nightwish did at Tarjas era, and they did it together when both have not been in Nightwish at a Solo performance of Tarja
The quality of sound is quite poor, though, and I think Floors mic is a bit low in the mix
This was the second song on the Wacken 2013 setlist. Most of the audience had never heard Floor in the Nightwish context.
It is great to look at the audience faces/reactions between the first song (Dark Chest of Wonders) and this one.... at first they were kind of "oh..... shiiiiiit", and by this song, it was the best metal party Germany has ever seen.
(ok, I got no idea about how good German metal band parties are, but that place looks WAY more fun than any US metal audience)

I'd say you need to do something oldschool, my picks for now would be Devil and The Deep Dark Ocean and Dead Boys Poem from Buenos Aires, and Wishmaster with Tarja from the "From Wishes To Eternity" concert :) The End of An Era is also a good one but its fun to see the really old stuff ;)

This song has the distinction of being the last song Tarja sung with Nightwish. It was the set closer at the 2005 Helsinki concert(End of an Era DVD).
Tuomas wrote this song after being in a bar with his ,then, girlfriend. And all the guys in the bar kept hitting on her, even knowing she was with him.
Should you do Song of Myself next? --YES!!. Either that or Romanticide.

Great reaction. Been watching your vids for a long time and am enjoying your NW journey. My recs for next would be Bless the Child, Song of Myself and/or Last Ride of the Day all from this concert. Outside of Wacken (2013) I'd say Devil and the Deep Dark Ocean, Slaying the Dreamer and/or Dead Boys Poem all from Buenos Aires (2018). So much I could suggest but those are way up there for me personally.

I thought I had some idea of how powerful it would be live after seeing countless videos on YT. But holy shit... She blew my mind, I wasn't prepared for how insane her aura and presence is. She truly is one of a kind!

In Attack on Titian once you finish season 1, you can't move on to season two without watching the OVAs! These are episodes that aren't officially in the series however they are most definitely canon episodes important to the main plot of the series (some not extremely canon) these ova's consists of more information that will probably help you understand the next season better answering some questions that you will soon be asking. I think the most important ones you should watch are A Choice With No Regrets part 1 and 2 and Ilse's Notebook.

Floor is amazing indeed and since she joined Nightwish I started to listen more to them again. But there is more out there, try Epica - Consign To Oblivion - Live at the Zenith or Within Temptation and Metropole Orchestra (the whole concert is fantastic!)
One of my favorite bands is Trail of Tears (so happy they are back together, new album and concerts to come). Try Crashing Down or A Fate sealed in Red. Then there is the wonderful Lacuna Coil (try Die and Rise or Blood Tears Dust). Or something different, no reaction on Type O Negative jet? Everything Dies or Anesthesia is so eerily gloomy, love that!

Floor is so sultry in this one! I don't believe you've done Romanticide yet? Next, Romanticide and Song of Myself from Wacken for sure. I'd also like more from Buenos Aires: I Want My Tears Back, Dead Boy's Poem, The Devil and the Deep Dark Ocean, Elvenjig/Elvenpath. That Tarja and Floor performance is worth checking out sometime too!

Fun fact as a reminder: this perfect metal band no longer has an official female singer at the time of recording. Floor is just the temporary help after Anette was kicked out. 10 months earlier, the band was on the verge of disbanding and Floor asking herself if she could really sing again.
Tarja and Floor have been friends for a long time. There aren't that many successful symphonic metal bands and everyone knows each other. The two have probably already belted out one or the other aria in the backroom. The video shown is a fan recording from a Tarja concert. There is no official video of either of them.
The drumming of Jukka is so inspiring to me, second only, IMO to Neil Peart. Hideki Aoyama is incredible, a power drummer, no doubt, but due to the pace of BABYMETAL songs seems to lack technique, but in reality he has tons of it. Over the Hills and Far Away (Tarja singing) is my next recommendation.

second you mentioned Song of Myself from Wacken the song right after Ghost Love Score on the set list you should do it why not it's chunky as hell and for about a year n a half it was my 4th favorite song by them of mine with GLS ,Storytime and Ever dream being ahead of it but in the last few months it's dropped down to 6th with Devil and the Deep Dark Ocean n 7 days to the Wolves moving it.
November will be 2 years since listening to them and GLS ,Storytime and Ever dream have been my 3 favorites never changing and to be honest I never had a song be my fav for more then 6 months tops but then I never had discovered a band better then all others with the best singer in metal, Floor is the Goddess

It starts off with an amazing instrumental of swanheart by troy leading into ‘end of all hope’ no reactors seem to ever catch this one and nobody seems to request it either. G, Floor is definitely one of the best vocalists on earth, but there is a 16 year old woman who might be the best Jazz and soul vocalists of this century. You realy should react to her concerts in Kurbadhagen, Norway. Now that she is a professional singer she will astonish us again and again. You know whom I refering to. PLEASE, I know it is the opposite of Nightwish, but yeah I love both.

Loving the channel. Really recommend you look through the Hellfest 22 concert. Get a feel for the band and the members as who they are today. 'Last ride of the day' has to be next to review. Then go back to 'Walking in the Air' live with Tarja. Would love them to recreate that with Floor.

But I have a recommendation for another band. A small band from Sweden. They just released a new song too. And are currently touring in the US supporting the band Ice Nine Kills. :D The band is Solence, and their new song is called Demons. :D They dont have a big following. Which sucks. So I try to get reactors to listen to them. They are awesome! And to a lot of experimentations with their sound. :D
