How about the big guy for USC wearing the plastic Hannible Lector mask blocking the shot by Denver Jones then standing over him and ripping off his mask. How in the world was that not a technical foul!?
When the SC player was under the basket with Caldwell for the rebound and wrapped his arm around Caldwell and threw him on the ground, I had to leave the room. Refs could not miss that, which means they ignored it after calling AU on touch fouls.
Just a KY guy here but man I hated to see what happened to Broome I hope he's back quicker than expected. He's an awesome player. You guys are tough this year.
M. Kelly - No excessive fouls, offensive production, 6 RB. T. Pettiford - Clutch. Cannot underestimate the value of defensive play from D. Jones, aggressive with only 1 foul.
I had said to my wife middle of the first half that somebody was going to get hurt if this crew kept allowing the amount of contact they were allowing under the basket. #31 gave a cross body block in the second half to Denver Jones that Ricky Steamboat would have been proud of and there was no call
Couple points to remember.....1. We are literally everyone's Super Bowl / Final Four / Playoff game. We will get everyone's VERY BEST EFFORT!!! Particularly when AU is on the the road playing. It also happens to be the best year the SEC has EVER had in basketball thus far, from top to bottom. 2. In addition to the superman-like effort by the opposing team, AU had a TON of pressure on them to win to get AU's second #1 ranking EVER during the regular season. The only other time AU has been #1 was during the 2022 season FOR ONE DAY!!!! (If memory serves me correctly)
It’s unfortunate Broome got injured but it seems like everytime Auburn is in the rise in basketball a star player gets hurt. I pray he gets better soon🏀🦅
USC was a big rough bunch and the refs let it go I think they got home town calls and when we lost Broome I thought this could be difficult. We got some ballers they were not going to lose did just enough to win.Tough D at end all the guards were banging and Johnson Caldwell and Hudson took a beating and gave it back especially at end.Kudos refs aren’t alway# going to call an even game.
If not high ankle then it was pretty rough low ankle sprain. If he had a brace on and weight bearing that is a good sign. Didn’t see if he was crutches or not.
Johni will be find I’m not worried I play basketball I played with a teak ankle before and I was okie you can play through it it only takes a few days to get better a week to get fully better
I left a comment whenever you guys were saying Auburn was gonna win by 20 or 30 easily. I left the comment that Auburn could very well get beat this game.. It’s hard on the road in the SEC fellas.
Chaney Johnson seems to step up in these situations. rebounding is the area that will hurt, imo. Also, people trashing the Defense.. yooo they only gave up 23 points in the second half lol. another note.... its not SEC officiating conferences do not have their own refs.
Man...They're talking about sitting Johni as long as needed, and of course that's right. Obviously it is. I'm greedy, though...I want at least one of the SEC championships to go with a deep tournament run.
Agree with Ben.. ankle looked dislocated …I’m not sure he plays again this year..dislocation tears ligaments…sometimes needs surgery to stabilize the joint.. hope Cheney can step in ..
Auburn is a great team. dnt get me wrong, and great Away Win.. I actually wanted Auburn to lose this game because even before Broome got hurt, Auburn was struggling badly.. I wanted them to lose simply so they could REGAIN their FOCUS.. They haven't had a full conference game this year without losing focus in at least a half in each game. Again, great away win.. but they need to regain focus seriously!!!!
Auburn needs to learn how to play dirty. Georgia St. and South Carolina should have taught them by now. I want more Rodman, Rambis, Lambier, etc. Get nasty and ugly because the refs are going to try to screw you every game. Off topic is Pegues still on the team? And why is there no post game video with Bruce Pearl?
Hey Mr Taylor!!! You may have a different level of pain than Johni! Do some research before you put labels on people. I rolled my ankle a few years ago and, I asked the doc for morphine! I was in tears and had to stay with a friend until she kicked me out…
If it's that bad hopefully this will be an option for Johni so he can return this season...maybe it won't be that drastic and no procedure will be required...we can hope for the best.

It should have been. The ref did talk to him after the play and likely warned him, but generally, in the moment, there will be a technical assessed.

Yes! That was terrible!!
I'm here looking for the leg donation line for Johni. He can have it from the hip down if he needs it.
Most of us have sprained an ankle by landing on someones foot playing basketball. It hurts, it swells, and hopefully goes away in two weeks or so.
That was a stressful one to watch but I’m so happy we got the W
The Auburn crowd sounded huge based on the crowd noise during Carolinas final freethrows.

Yeah, we get EVERYONE'S A game...
@@donjackson4624 We will get the oppositions maximum effort all game long, regardless of whether the opponent is hitting shots.

Yep.
2018 McLemore
2019 Okeke
2022 Kessler shoulder injury changed the season even though he didn’t miss time
All officials are against Auburn in all sports, they still ball out.
Sprains occur when a joint is stressed, such as by a fall or twist, and the ligaments that support it are overstretched or ruptured.

Looking at the injury I done it before, ligament strain or damage. I done it to both ankle playing ball over the yrs
Same. Tighten that ankle brace take some ibuprofen and get it done.
Probably Auburn's worst game of the year, but they pulled it out!
Errbody on Notice right now. The SEC aint playing around this year. Real talk
More Ben Taylor!! Thanks guys!!
If not high ankle then it was pretty rough low ankle sprain. If he had a brace on and weight bearing that is a good sign. Didn’t see if he was crutches or not.
Why did Johni change shoes at halftime??
Johni will be find I’m not worried I play basketball I played with a teak ankle before and I was okie you can play through it it only takes a few days to get better a week to get fully better

I believe the team can still win without Broome based on this game and the one against Texas… they just gotta continue to play with heart!🏀
5-0 I believe in them guys ❤❤

Worst damn game we’ve played all year, even with Broome.
The foul at the end on CBM was only the 6th foul. That's why he didn't shoot FT.
Ah…I left the room & came back to TP on the line and ESPN wouldn’t let me rewind. Appreciate that…

The worst officiated game I've watched this year and I've watched every one of them
Sharife was a dawg. Don’t slander that man.
Grade 3 ligament tear is a “significant sprain”
Ligaments have very little blood flow, bones heal much faster as they have good blood flow
War Eagle. But doesn't ot seem that they are not focused? Do they expect to win? Time to reel in focus
Kudos to South Carolina. They played a great game. Out rebounding and never gave up
More Ben Taylor postgame content!!
Ben, good call on the drama part. Exactly what I told my son. Great player but…
Did you see his ankle?
I'm no doc, but seen quite a few of those injuries. 6 to 8 weeks...
Don't bring up officials. Bad fouls today away from the ball. Just bad. And they did foul
Where's Dapp!?
Bruh you grab what is hurting... wtf old dude is out of it
Auburn needs to learn how to play dirty. Georgia St. and South Carolina should have taught them by now. I want more Rodman, Rambis, Lambier, etc. Get nasty and ugly because the refs are going to try to screw you every game.

Yes he was at the game but got 0 minutes JP

Maybe if they stop looking arrogant with this stupid aura shit like they are the ‘92 Dream Team they might focus.
WTH are talking about
Agree!!! What the heck are you talking about????
Yeah Auburn are a bunch of punks and they’re gonna start getting their butts handed to them
#1
Auburn is mid at best
Did it before with lesser talent
The Auburn Spitit is alive
I talked with an Orthopedic Nurse visiting- 3-6 months she says, maybe longer? Gosh, I hope not
High ankle sprains have been operated on with a "tightrope" procedure and DBs, RBs and WRs have returned in 6-8 weeks in the SEC and the NFL.
@@autkYup- Tua T. had that done a few years ago after Tennessee game.
If it's that bad hopefully this will be an option for Johni so he can return this season...maybe it won't be that drastic and no procedure will be required...we can hope for the best.
Do you have inside info or are you just speculating?
I think Broome's done for the year
Don’t say that!!! Think positive!!!
Why is that?
Yep
Why doesn't Auburn have ANY white players on the whole team?
GKY
