Thank you. It is very Educational and nice to learn those Symbols for People who can’t speak very well. The Elevator part I’m not sure how it was done on the show but the cast was very calm about it what to do. I do wish sounds could be made better today for Emergencies in a building like this show as long as there loud enough but the modern ones sound like a EEE EEE EEE. The other round red ones were loud I don’t mind
I thought this episode was brilliant how they wrote it with Sam being unsure of how to behave around levi, and even tries to avoid him a little... That way they could answer questions /explain things for the children at home watching ❤
But Sam was right that if there were ever an emergency, the situation could get complicated. Jody then said, "except for the stairs, Levi gets around just fine." Then, the elevators jammed right afterwards. Luckily, Levi was a good problem solver along with TXL. What Sam was mistaken about was when he said, "these people get confused easily." Levi was able to remained calm, cool, and collected instead of panicking when things got challenging. And this is not to harp on this point too much, but aren't the actual song lyrics 99 bottles of BEER? I guess they couldn't sing that on a children's program. 😂
At 20:50 when Jodie presses the button marked “stop” you can faintly hear the “ding” of the real alarm bell in the background over the dubbed alarm sound. Elevator is a 1967 Dover-Turnbull (Now maintained and since modded by Thyssenkrupp)
"Im just a grown up--he's just a kid--it wouldnt be fair to Levi"-----that a very obvious excuse to stay away from levi--I think Jodie knew that too!!! If this was real life, I wonder how Sam would have acted around Levi???? Jodie probably would have educated sam before actually meeting Levi...telling Sam that "Levi has cerebral pulsy and it might cause you to stay away from him due to discomfort but he is very very smart and very capable even if he can't speak...let me show you some symbols to familiar yourself with how he communicates before I bring him around!"
Why does the soundtrack go in and out at random times? I liked this episode and the sound intermittently stops! They had the best music in this episode too and the full songs aren't there.
I always thought it was sort of strange how when Jodie Sam and Jeff get stuck in the elevator Jodie calls out for Levi to get Sam....expecting him to reply....when she knows he can't speak. She knows Levi can't speak without his board...so why was she expecting him to answer when she called out from in the elevator??? Sort of foolish to call out to Levi if he can't reply! A better thing she could of said is "I know you can't reply Levi, but please find Sam...get Sam--we are stuck in the elevator....I know you can hear me.....get Sam-he can help us--you can help us too!"
This video seems to mute and sounds faded here and there. I don't know if it's my computer or the tape, but something seems wrong. Also it seems like within every episode Jodie sounds more and more like Helen Reddy every time she sings.
When the second alarm sounded, didn't Sam hear it? He stated in a previous episode that this alarm was audible throughout the store. Why couldn't he hear it in the computer room? I guess then there wouldn't be a storyline.
I never liked that sound at 4:31...it was like a concerned sound..or a sound that meant Sam was clearly uncomfortable around Levi.....which could be a natural reaction by anyone. The fact he didnt want to play tic tac toe with Levi because it wouldn't be fair to Levi---that was just an excuse to stay away from Levi due to obvious discomfort...the moment we see Sam look down at Levi when he walks in---he looks apprehensive.....
This helps me fall asleep.
This is my favorite episode!! Thank you. I have CP too..❤😊 :)
Good quality educational programing of our childhoods.
Kids today, just don't know what they're missing.
Very true nothing they have today comes close to this show or others we had growing up
@@drewski1535 Makes me miss Nerene more...
@DakariKingMykan yes I was sad to have learned of her death just a few days ago she passed away in January
@@drewski1535 In all honesty, I was expecting Bob (Sam) to leave before she did

For a kids program pop or juice is better for that 99 song or milk 😊

In this video, the topic for Today's Special is "Hello, Friend".
This episode is called bliss aka hello friend

I would have loved Levi to beat Sam at TIC TAC TOE!!!! Sam would have been astonished!!!!!
I could imagine Stephen Hawking being a guest on this show.

I noticed that. It is a old tape. It did come in faint at times too in that only one song.
That's probably true, but I loved the music in this episode.

That's why episodes like this are important, for introducing us to those with differences.
