I love how in G1 technically one was Quickmix's selling points was that he was smaller then other Transformers and 16 years later in Cybertron he makes his grand return as a giant. Plus he still has one little partner that turns into a gun.
I just got this guy for fun and, despite needing to now find him a new head since he was missing the headset, he's kinda fun. I can see why he's viewed as so.... middle of the road, but for me, someone who missed out on all these figures until now, he's kinda fun. I actually like his oddly overdesigned missile.
It's pretty refreshing to see a transformer that turns into a cement truck that isn't a constructicon. That aside I really like what this goes for even if it missed the opportunity to homage g1 quickmix...
Great review as usual, but a couple things. 1. In vehicle mode, the drum holds a lot more securely in truck mode if you keep it in the locked position. I usually only unclip it for when I use Strip Mine's cannon functionality, or when I decide to have the drum spin. 2. The arm cannon can be attached to the roof of the truck mode. 3. When Strip Mine is riding on the back in tank mode, you can actually rotate the part around to function as a turret. 4. I think that this actually is the only Giant Planet toy to not have the Work Mode in his instructions. Totally meaningless, just throwing it out there.
I wonder why they didn’t have that four-wheel assembly that moves onto his back from the chest instead? It would’ve killed the “flatness” and given him a bit more personality
I think something that falls in the middle would be Armada Scavenger. Only in toy form. The character himself was alright. Figure though is almost plastic addict worthy if you ask me. Or maybe Energon Omega Supreme.

I've never had a real cybertron figure before, just the repaints that were released in universe 2.0 and the first bay film. Heavy Load was one of my favorites when I was younger. It's great to have him back in my collection now years later.
I think his colours might be an homage to Scoop. His head remind me of a Jesta from Gundam Unicorn. vignette2.wikia.nocookie.net/gundam/images/8/8e/Rgm-96x-ova.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20160605063747 Has anyone else been having problems with posting comments?
i have a different colored version of this guy that im about to start to mod him up a little he looks alot better when you get that drum off,,, as always awesome video!!
Probably Overhaul, very clunky figure that doesn't really do anything special. Backstop is a close second but at least there's some charm to the rhino mode.
Not every non-Earth Transformer has a sigil in the show. Heck, even Scourge, who is branded as a Decepticon, doesn't have a tampoed sigil anywhere in his body, hinting that he would join the heroes in the end. Actually, every non-Cybertronian/Earth native shouldn't have a sigil, and anyone who chooses to join the Decepticons for Megatron's cause and not for personal reasons will have one, like Crumplezone and Ransack.
The idea behind Giant Planet is that they're not just big; they're also in-scale with the Legends of Cybertron toys. Quickmix in the show was about twice as tall as Megatron.
Actual requests I reserve for my Patreon contributors but suggestions are always welcome, it might end up being something I hadn't thought of for review yet.
That's what review is. Regardless of what you're reviewing, it's in comparison to the rest of the media it's a part of, because my opinion of how good a toy is will always be based on how other toys did the same things better or worse.

Funny cause I sold mine about 3 years ago and my copy didn’t have the headset either when I sold it
He actually stood out to me in the Cybertron cartoon due to his rich Scottish accent.
From what I recall from the show, that was everyone on the giant planet. It was basically space Scotland

surprise me when I watch Transformers Cybertron the cybertronians in the giant planet all have Scottish accents

Water? Lower levels of giant planet had trees, mountains, and rivers so he can make cement
I've been looking all over for a quickmix.
Definitely agree that it should have been a multi-missile turret.
I love the idea for this quest of yours. Can't wait to see what's next!
Oooh, I think the Go-Bot you were talking about was BlockHead. I had a few of those guys as a kid, and he was one of my favorites.
The minicon's scope is much better than any one-step RID toy.
Huh.... I never really thought about it. But you're kinda right. Blender didn't really do much in Galaxy Force. Weird....
stripmine reminds me of mechwarrior. and for some reason, Quickmix gives me a ToQger vibe. Looks like Build Dai-Oh.
Giant flat looking orange robot with big feet, I can see the resemblance.
I do not know what any of those words mean

IHE has his Search for the Worst, so what should we call this? Journey for the Average? Anyone got any ideas, cuz I'm bad with naming things.
Journey to the center of the scale? A bit wordy, but couldn't pass up the reference.
Leni Hates Everything ok. Set gets gig e
Leni Likes Everything now he has Quest for the best
Adventure for the Average?
Quest for the medicore
I love this guy!
I acctually love the Heavy Load repaint.
Ive had quickmix since he came out, he has a special place in my collection.

You're my absolute reviewer you're amazing. I have a request!! Can you review a BAD original Cybertron mold? like the worst you own?
Go watch plastic addict, you won’t regret it
The yellow on that minicon looks like its a safety jacket when you positioned him at the back high of Quickmix in alt mode
who would win Quickmix cybertron or Movie Mixmaster Quickmix since he has a minicon
@@drakedy5256 the ones watching the fight would win.

quickmix was in g1 as a targetmaster so it makes sense
When I see this guy not sure why but I think it looks like some updated G1 Blaster
Stripmine also reminds me of the Negavator from the G1 episode Auto Berserk
*Waves at robot head* :p Yeah, pretty average overall. But I still like him.
I'm getting an omega supreme vibe from him
Cybertron quickmix was one of my first transformers.
So that is what the complete figure looks like/ transforms into.
I think his colours might be an homage to Scoop.

12:26 hey Bk had the cybertron toys.
i found the heavyload version for $18 complete on ebay very happy to get a childhood figure back
Where does one find the Galaxy Force version of the show? With English subtitles. I wanted to see the differences.
notice that the minicon looks like energin signal flair? the head literally looks the sane as well as the arms
Cyberdonalds...with the Big Meg, the Prime Pounder, and the Double Cheesium sandwich..
this guy looks like mixmaster
great reveiw
In your opinion, what is the worst Cybertron figure released? Excluding the remolds from Armada or Energon
Probably Overhaul, very clunky figure that doesn't really do anything special. Backstop is a close second but at least there's some charm to the rhino mode.
does his arm shield thing fit across his chest?
Hmm... now that I see Quickmix's head again my head feels like adding "DoReMiFa Beat-o" as a background noise...
I have the universe heavy load, or the yellow decepticon version of this toy
Hey TJ, what are your thoughts on the Cybertron animated show?
I guess Cybertronian cement mixers have giant steal rams in the front ;P
At least Mixmaster as an autobot enemy……
did you not activate the cyber key gimmick?
Why not, Dare I say why not
Hey TJ, which deco do you like most? This or the Universe Heavy Load one?
the paint on his shoulders are thr same as the drum, and you looking at them saying the color is nowhere else lol
It's definitely a different color from the drum. One is flat off white, the other is metallic and very pale gold.
maybe is a different color because the shoulder details are painted over orange plastic and the drum detail is over grey plastic
Seriously, I have it in hand. One paint is flat, the other is filled with metallic glitter. The plastic they're painted on doesn't change that.
TJOmega mmm ok i dont know what to say xd i lost
i dont know i prefer the universe repaint, do you think it improves over this version or the other way around, i lke the molde though, its unique
It's interesting how some lines like RID and Cybertron used asymmetrical designs. I still can't decide whether i like it :/
A little bit of asymmetry won't hurt
I had this toy but it was in Green. Does anyone know which figure it was?
I believe that would be Universe Heavy Load. tfwiki.net/wiki/Heavy_Load_(Universe)
OptimusPhillip Thank you very much!

I customized this mold into Constructicon colors (Universe 2 Heavyload) looks better, wouldn't you agree?
Mark Newland honestly would of been neat if they had released a verison that was based on his g1 incarnation
his drum arm looks like a quintesson
6:00 because Wobbuffet
why was it taken down
Forgot the additional credit at the end.
Ah
Why does Quickmix remind me of Blaster?
Rail Racer because the head looks like the one of the toy and his color is also looking more like the toy
Embarrassing how Quickmix is from Giant Planet and he's awfully small.... This is just another case of big things, small packages.
....Perhaps that wasn't the figure of speech to use for a toy like this.... ^_^***
The idea behind Giant Planet is that they're not just big; they're also in-scale with the Legends of Cybertron toys. Quickmix in the show was about twice as tall as Megatron.
Mister Bad Guy Yup, you're right. The Galaxy Force version of Metroplex even came with a Legends Optimus Prime to show the scale between the two.
I don't care how little an impact he had on the story he's scottish which was enough for me
Michael Daingerfield
