It's hard to believe that the designers/engineers made something so easy as installing a grille to darn hard. Had it not been for your video, I would still be working on getting the grille on. On major item to remember working with the grille is to wear some good gloves. The edges of the grille are as sharp as razors. Thanks for posting this video.
Great video, good help! Yes, destructions were very vague, pitiful to say the best. I almost drilled a hole in the inner pan, no plug to remove. I put the grill on so i could remove it from the outside for maintenance. First time for me as well, geez, i came close to installing that sleeve backwards, thanks again. Kudos to the workmen still out there!
Dude, thank you for the video! The directions were terrible. I installed the unit first and then saw your video, now I know. Makes sense about installing on high rise
You are correct sir, the instructions are very vague especially for that back grill I'm a professional building contractor and I had to scratch my head for quite a while until realizing exactly how to put that thing in. A detailed diagram would have been a blessing!
The PTAC unit in my apartment bedroom cannot get humidity below 70% or so during summer(currently). When the compressor is running, humidity lowers, when the compressor shuts off and only the fan blower is running, humidity rises(6-10% increase). Does this sound like a draining problem? Perhaps it's too level? My landlord does not appear to know what the problem could be.
@@khaledhelil5787 That's exactly the reason - this newer PTAC uses its own condensate to splash up on it for cooling. I could not figure out how that could possibly be working since all the condensate would drain away, until I saw this video showing the two-part condensate trap. Now... I can't say if it works well or not, haven't gotten mine yet. But I am worried about mold and such once the unit is "hinished" for the season!

Dude I like your honesty! Great Job! Thanks for your efforts! I didn't like the drain design with the steel screws; they will rust.

Thank you so much! The written instructions make so much more sense after watching your video!!!
Great video, I was confused by the package instructions but could easily install the grill after watching your video. Thanks
Instructions are vague...I was about to install the drain through the inside of the sleeve not the bottom ...Thanks a lot, appreciate ya bro!.

Great Video thank you for your time 👍👍
Thank you... perfect, it makes sense now very helpful
Great video, thank you!

Please remove the plug. There is absolutely no reason why you would want 3/4" of standing water in the unit.
I was thinking that
You actually need the water because I have seen model when the condenser fan splash the water on the condenser to cool it

Buddy do u know how to do the code and diagnostics on that ptac?
I do not know the vode off the top of my head.
Great video man. Those damn instructions sucked
If you're gonna do a video, be more specific, and show each step of the process. Otherwise, don't bother.
