Made this tonight and was Awesome!! Our son is not a Jalapeño fan so I wrapped the filling with a slice of ham in place of the Jalapeños for half of them. I only have an electric Masterbuilt currently and doesn't get to the higher temps to crisp up the bacon, so finished them off in the broiler. They were still a hit and next time I'll make them earlier to finish them off on the grill, till I get a better smoker. Thank you!!
Great recipe! I learned several years ago that the thighs make a much better meal than the breast. I cook mine at 350*F to make sure the bacon crisps up though.
Thanks for another great video. The chicken looks amazing. I'm definitely going to try these. Also, definitely thighs for almost all recipes, especially casseroles, where breasts can easily dry out.
I saw a thing that said, when jalapeños are nice green, and shiny, they’re not hot. But when you get the ones that has like the striations near the top that’s like a brownish color they’re gonna be hot. I haven’t checked this method yet but curious if this is true. This would be delicious also with the chicken thighs marinated over night in jalapeno pickle juice
Hard to mess up a thigh due to the higher fat content and it seems to be an easier cut for this. You could probably butterfly a breast and put wrap the popper in that but the thigh is probably the way to go for this. Did you find that you had to crank the temp right at the end to crisp the bacon at all?
Awesome concept. I'm a thigh person. But, if the breast is cooked right, I like them also. What about seasoning the inside of the chicken thighs before you set the popper inside and wrap. Too much seasoning or do you think that could enhance more flavor? Maybe add some finely chopped brisket in the cheese mixture?

They turned out perfect! And easy enough to make, I found that drying off the chicken thighs didn’t make the jalapeno slide out when wrapping it up 😂

Instead of cheese (which is still fantastic), cook the ground breakfast sausage with the cream cheese and add that to the jalapeños. Game changer

if you will scrape the pepper out better it wont be hot !!!!!!!!
