    Do we need to consider net area? Sigma= P / ((b-a) *t) ?

Hello very nice video. Please let me ask a question on that example. I am struggling to understand the meaning of that 360 kN force. Once I can understand its meaning the stones will fall into place. I mean what if we put 500 kN in at the last calculation. Then what will happen? Max force would change dramatically. It sounds maybe a little silly question considering the fact that not knowing the true meaning of first 360kN, is not. :) Thank you. Best wishes.

Aha, I figured out right now. If we choose the initial force for example 835kN then n would be 1 which is not sensible. I totally understood. Thank you. And it is very good to trying to figure out on my own. Thanks for brilliant videos. Best wishes.
